The door of the delivery room finally opened.
Everyone who had been waiting outside immediately turned toward it.
Leo, who had been pacing restlessly for what felt like hours, stopped in the middle of the hallway.
His eyes immediately locked onto the nurse as she stepped outside.
He was still holding Eli in his arms.
Eli had just come back from school and the moment he had heard that his Mumma was inside the delivery room, he came running here. Leo had picked him up and Eli had been asking questions the entire time.
"Dada, is Mumma okay?"
"Dada, is the baby here?"
"Dada, can I see Mumma?"
Leo had barely answered any of them.
He had simply kept staring at the delivery-room door.
Now that the nurse had finally appeared, Leo's entire attention was on her.
"How is Bella?" he asked immediately.
The nurse smiled. "She is fine, Mr. Moretti."
Leo's shoulders relaxed slightly.
Then the nurse's smile became even wider.
