Della’s POV
A pregnancy stick?
What should I do? I mean… I knew what that was… I knew what she was holding, and what it probably meant, but...how do I process that? Why would she give me something like that?
I couldn’t help but be stunned while my body stiffened as I stared at that stick she was trying to hand over.
“Why are you giving that to me?” My eyebrows furrowed.
I was so confused that I reached out and tried to push it away and I took a step back from her while looking at the pregnancy stick weirdly.
Her hand tightened on the stick as she looked down on it.
Diana wasn’t speaking, but I somehow could feel her pain. Her chest rose and fell violently, while she tried to calm herself down.
And that made me feel guilty a bit. Did my action hurt her?
“Diana, are you okay? I...” I held her hand which was still tightly holding the pregnancy stick.
“No, Miss Della.It’s...” She took a deep breath before looking up at me with sorrow in her eyes. “I just saw it too many times.”
