"Lianmei, what are the arrangements?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile as he followed Zhang Lianmei to the head of the conference table.
"Mr. Lin, please take a seat first," Zhang Lianmei replied with a smile, not directly answering his question.
"There's no need for such formalities between us. Besides, I have no intention of taking over the Eagle Sect. This position has always been yours," Lin Kuang said, looking at her.
Upon hearing this, Zhang Lianmei was taken aback, as this was not what she had meant at all. After a moment's thought, however, she understood. Lin Kuang's words probably weren't for her, but for some of the other Eagle Sect members.
Indeed, after Lin Kuang spoke, the gazes some of the Eagle Sect members gave him became much friendlier, losing their earlier hostility.
