Everyone around looked at Rumus with suspicion, while Rumus sat there with a contemptuous smile.
"I'm not a spy, not a traitor, I have a clear conscience. As for what you think, I don't care." Rumus said.
The commander's face was somewhat unsightly. The situation had developed to a point he couldn't have anticipated, especially since Rumus had worked under him for many years, and was even promoted by him.
If Rumus was a spy, then he couldn't absolve himself from responsibility.
But now, all the commanders were present, and he couldn't say nothing; he couldn't just pretend that nothing had happened.
"What are you waiting for, Commander? Investigate and you'll find out." Keru sneered.
Rumus sat there completely unconcerned, like a dead pig unafraid of boiling water.
The commander had no choice and then walked to one of the staff members and said, "Investigate Rumus' phone number, see who he's been in contact with."
