"Don't," he murmurs, the word strained, almost a warning to himself more than to me.
His eyes never leave mine, searching, weighing something I don't understand. Then, slowly, deliberately, he leans back, creating distance even as the darkness lingers between us.
"You shouldn't be here," he says quietly, I wrap my legs around his retreating figure
" Then Why'd you bring me here " I stroke his chin , his eyes flutter closed
