The Corpse Turtle fixed its gaze on the little girl. She noticed and glared back furiously, as if entering a staring contest to see who was more ferocious.
This girl… what's wrong with her? Isn't she afraid of me? the Corpse Turtle fumed. With that thought, it let out a strange, ghostly shriek that sent shivers down the spines of those who heard it, causing their hair to stand on end.
"Ugh, that sounds horrible," the little girl grumbled unhappily in Wu Tian's arms. She much preferred pleasant sounds, and the Corpse Turtle's screech was worse than a pig being slaughtered.
