In the hotel, Hu Jing was holding Liu Chen tightly. She could feel the pain of being threatened by her parents; she had endured too much.
"Don't be like this." Liu Chen tried to calm her down. She was on the verge of breaking down, and if not guided properly, she might lose hope.
Liu Chen just quietly held her, as time ticked by minute by minute.
Suddenly, the door of the room opened, and Hu Jing's father came in from outside, holding two bottles of mineral water. He said to Liu Chen, "Here, you didn't drink much water during dinner, have some."
He handed a bottle to both Liu Chen and Hu Jing.
"Drink up, I already drank outside," Hu Jing's father said with an expectant look.
"You should leave now, we have some things to discuss," Liu Chen deliberately issued an invitation to leave, speaking to her father.
"Alright then, you both should sleep early, I won't disturb you, don't worry."
Hu Jing's father laughed and walked out.
