"Senior, the more you say, the less I understand."
Barn forced a smile, "Haven't I just said it? I don't have the ability to control spirits yet."
"No. You know very well what I mean. There's a simple way to save Rose and the others right now."
Ning Fan laughed boldly, revealing a mouthful of snow-white teeth.
Barn asked hesitantly, "What method is that?"
"That is to kill you."
Such a light statement, yet it left Barn visibly shaken, his anger rising as he pointed at Ning Fan.
After a moment of silence, Barn withdrew his cold gaze, attempted a flattering smile, and said, "Senior, you must be joking with me."
"I don't have time to joke with you."
Ning Fan quipped, "Sorry to trouble you. Rest assured, my methods are so good that you'll die without even noticing, without a hint of pain."
Barn panicked, "Senior, didn't you just promise me?"
Ning Fan asked curiously, "Promise you what?"
"You said as long as my father saves Rose, you'll let me go..."
