In an instant...
The golden light sword fired by Toneri collided with the golden light cannon unleashed by Umbreon.
Boom!!
In just a blink, a massive explosion erupted at the point of impact. Immediately afterward, the entire Moon began to tremble violently.
High in the sky, the clash between the two mighty forces caused ripples in space, like a drop of water falling into a still pond. These ripples destroyed almost everything they touched instantly.
Only the Ōtsutsuki clan's palace, constructed from some unknown material, remained mostly intact, though parts of it had also collapsed.
At this moment, Sasuke was stunned. Was Umbreon, whom they'd always regarded as some kind of adorable mascot, actually this powerful?
Surprised as he was, Sasuke noticed the golden light sword in the sky fading and vanishing. But...
He glanced at Umbreon. There wasn't a trace of fatigue on her face. It was as if her body contained an endless wellspring of energy. Compared to Toneri…
Sure enough, the next moment, the golden sword completely shattered and could no longer stop the golden light cannon, which continued surging toward Toneri.
"Impossible!?" Toneri widened his eyes in shock. He twisted his body at the last second and narrowly dodged the devastating blast that could've ended his life.
The golden light cannon then shot off into the endless void of space. Don't doubt its power, any planetary body the size of the Moon standing in its path would be utterly pierced through. There was no second outcome.
Umbreon blinked, gazing at the disbelieving Toneri. She didn't understand why he looked so surprised.
But Toneri quickly realized the reason...
Umbreon had absorbed the massive golden Tenseigan formed from the accumulated Byakugan of the entire Ōtsutsuki clan. That wasn't something he could compare to, having awakened his Tenseigan merely through the transplant of Hanabi's Byakugan.
Moreover, what Toneri didn't know was that ocular powers could be shared. Umbreon could even channel the powers of the crimson Six Tomoe Rinne Sharingan to further enhance the Tenseigan.
The result was clear... suppressing Toneri's power was child's play for it.
"What are you?! Why can you absorb our clan's Tenseigan? And how can you even use its power?!" Toneri cried out in disbelief.
Faced with his questions, Umbreon blinked again. She wasn't sure. Another version of herself had told her that absorbing the Tenseigan would be beneficial, so she did.
As for how exactly she absorbed it, even she was a bit confused. That was a question for "her."
At that moment, Sasuke finally let out a breath of relief. Umbreon had almost vaporized Toneri completely, if that had happened, Hanabi's eyes would be gone for good.
"Umbreon, let me take it from here. We need to get his eyes back for Hanabi. You can't use that move again," Sasuke said.
Umbreon shook her head, then nodded.
"You mean… you'll handle him, but you won't use that move again?" Sasuke guessed.
Umbreon nodded. Then, in an instant, her figure vanished from Sasuke's sight and reappeared directly above Toneri.
"Don't underestimate me!" Toneri growled, firing his Truth-Seeking Orbs, wrapped in green light, toward her.
Umbreon radiated golden light from her body, effortlessly deflecting all of the orbs.
Then, the green light covering the orbs began to be devoured by the golden glow, transforming them into golden Truth-Seeking Orbs.
Toneri felt a jolt of disbelief, he had lost control over his own Truth-Seeking Orbs. What kind of blatant disrespect was this?!
Umbreon had completely taken them over!
Could that even be done!?
As Toneri stood there stunned, Umbreon manipulated the now-golden orbs.
However, despite several of the orbs brushing right past Toneri, none actually hit him. In fact, he didn't even dodge, yet none seemed aimed at him.
He was puzzled, until he noticed something was off.
Above him floated four golden Truth-Seeking Orbs. Below him, another four. Connecting their positions formed a perfect cube.
"What is this…?"
Toneri's eyes widened with an ominous feeling. He instantly burst forward, trying to escape the cube's boundaries.
But just as he was about to break free, a golden light membrane suddenly appeared in the previously empty space. Toneri slammed right into it.
Bang!!
That was the sound of Toneri crashing into what seemed like an invisible wall. He looked utterly disheveled, blood streaming from his forehead, he had smashed head-first into the wall.
Now furious, Toneri's chakra flared violently, he was determined to blast this barrier apart.
Umbreon, still floating calmly above, didn't seem the least bit concerned about Toneri's struggles.
And for good reason, no matter how much Toneri attacked the golden membrane didn't even flicker.
Umbreon yawned lazily. Her opponent didn't even understand what technique he was trapped in, how could he possibly break it?
"Truth-Seeking Orbs: Spatial Freeze."
That's right. Although this cube resembled something like the Four Violet Flames Formation, it was an entirely different beast.
In fact, it didn't come from either the crimson Six Tomoe Rinne Sharingan or the golden Tenseigan. This was a power unique to Umbreon, a beast of space-time.
Of course, without those two eye powers, she wouldn't have had the energy to use such a technique, but even if someone else had both eyes, they still couldn't perform Spatial Freeze.
Only she, as the chosen child of space-time, could wield it freely. Within this frozen space, the easiest type of escape was space-time techniques. But even that…
Even with space-time techniques, escaping from Spatial Freeze required a greater mastery of the dimension than Umbreon herself.
And in this world, only one person surpassed Umbreon in space-time... Natsuro.
But she would never use that on him to begin with.
That's not to say brute force couldn't break it but the level of power required was terrifying, being able to tear space itself was just the minimum.
Because the strength of space inside Spatial Freeze was fundamentally different from outside. Someone who could rip open space from the outside might not even cause a ripple from within.
And if someone could tear through space within Spatial Freeze, then unless they voluntarily entered, Umbreon would have no chance to trap them with it in the first place.
So rather than brute force, one should focus on improving spatial perception.
At least for now, Umbreon didn't believe anyone but her creator could break out of it.
Time passed. Toneri was still thrashing and raging inside, having withdrawn all of his chakra, even canceling his summoning technique.
Naruto, who had been battling the giant Toneri statue earlier, now found himself with nothing to do. He looked up at the scene.
His jaw dropped. Was this Natsuro's cute little critter… this strong!?
Naruto had always thought Umbreon simply had some special space-time ability but wasn't much of a fighter. However...
He and Sasuke weren't wrong. Umbreon had been a non-combatant space-time beast. That is, until Natsuro sealed Kaguya inside her.
After that, Umbreon obtained both the crimson Six Tomoe Rinne Sharingan and the golden Tenseigan. Her power had skyrocketed beyond theirs, she had truly reached the Six Paths level.
If Umbreon knew how to show off, she'd definitely say…
"From now on, please address me as the space-time beast who possesses the Crimson Six-Tomoe Rinne Sharingan, the Golden Tenseigan, and is the jinchūriki of Kaguya, Umbreon!"
…Well, Umbreon wasn't that complicated in her thinking. In truth she was incredibly simple, so simple that even Kaguya sealed within her couldn't get angry. Every day, Umbreon lived in pure happiness, and as a result, Kaguya's own gloomy mindset had slowly begun to shift as well.
At this moment, Umbreon looked down at Toneri and yawned again. Why isn't it over yet? Does he still have that much energy?
Suddenly, she caught sight of Sasuke and Naruto watching from below, and her eyes lit up.
Then, she disappeared from her original position and reappeared on Naruto's shoulder.
"Umbreon, what are you doing?" Naruto asked in confusion, not understanding her intention.
In the next instant, Naruto vanished from where he stood. Before he could figure out what was happening, everything blurred, and the next thing he knew, he was up in the sky, within the bounds of the frozen space.
Since Naruto couldn't fly, he immediately began falling, and the direction of his fall was straight toward Toneri.
Umbreon stood calmly on his shoulder, waving her tiny paws at him. Naruto slowly caught on to what she meant as Toneri grew larger and larger in his field of vision.
Despite the fact that he was plummeting through the air with no means to fly, Naruto wasn't afraid. A golden chakra cloak erupted around him as he focused his energy into his fist.
Down below, Toneri was panting heavily. Even with the power of the Ōtsutsuki clan, there was no way he could sustain such intense bombardment for long.
But even after all that relentless assault, the barrier hadn't changed one bit. Toneri had sunk into despair.
So much so that he didn't even notice Naruto appearing above him.
When he finally looked up, what filled his vision was a fist the size of a boulder.
Boom!!
Naruto's punch landed square on Toneri's face.
In an instant, Toneri's head distorted from the force, and the next moment, his body was sent hurtling toward the ground like a cannonball. But this time, he didn't slam into the golden barrier because Umbreon had released the Space Freeze. She had decided it was no longer necessary.
BOOM!!
Another massive impact, the sound of Toneri smashing into the ground. The cracks that split through the surface testified to the force of Naruto's punch. It definitely wasn't light, likely Naruto's way of getting back at him for constantly calling Hinata his "wife."
Meanwhile, Naruto was still falling through the air. But he wasn't worried Umbreon would teleport him back to the ground.
Or so he thought… until he glanced over and saw a cute little figure standing next to Sasuke down below.
It was Umbreon.
Naruto's face stiffened. If she was there… didn't that mean…?
He was about to crash straight into the ground. From this height, it wouldn't kill him, but it would definitely hurt.
"HELP MEEEE!!!" Naruto screamed.
Sasuke, watching from below, sighed and prepared to use the repulsive force of his Rinnegan to catch Naruto.
Naruto's descent only accelerated.
But then, at a certain moment, he suddenly stopped. Suspended midair, floating.
Sasuke glanced at his hand in confusion. I haven't used the Rinnegan yet… was that Umbreon?
Just then, he heard Naruto shouting in excitement.
"I can fly! I finally learned how to fly!!" Naruto cheered loudly.
A few black lines appeared on Sasuke's face. So you just… learned how to fly like that? Should I have thrown you off a cliff earlier? You might've figured it out a long time ago…
Thinking that, Sasuke let out a sigh, then a small laugh. Honestly, it fit Naruto perfectly. Studying normally was always difficult for him, but once he tried something physically he could instantly become a genius at it.
At that moment, the dust from Toneri's crash finally began to clear, revealing his badly injured form.
He was trying to stand, but the damage was so severe he could barely even move.
Then, the green glow around his body suddenly faded. His eyes, which once shone with bright blue light, reverted to ordinary Byakugan…
"This… impossible… The power of the Tenseigan is gone?" Toneri weakly reached up and touched the area around his eyes in disbelief.
The loss of the Tenseigan was like salt in his wounds.
But soon, Toneri gave up even caring. After all…
What good is the Tenseigan if I can't even defeat a mere beast? What's the point of having it?
Toneri turned his head toward the Ōtsutsuki palace in the distance. Several figures were running toward him, carrying a young girl.
Seeing this, Toneri closed his eyes. In that moment, he had completely lost.
Defeated by the very "under-evolved Earthlings" he had always looked down on.
