Chapter 129 - Chapter 138 Winds of Death

"Sir, Perhaps there's a problem with the data... um..."

Just as the intelligence officer was recovering from the shock, Ato's voice came through the earpiece.

"No need to report anymore."

At that moment, a bluish-green figure appeared boldly above Ato's head.

"Oh, is this the weapon the weak humans made?"

Her smile stretched from the tip of her mouth to the corners as she floated above the shore.

A noble and mysterious cyan symbol, like an angel's halo, stood behind this person.

The identity of the newcomer is no mystery the "Herrscher of the Wind" has arrived.

The surrounding air seemed to freeze for a moment, and the breathing of the people present seemed to strain.

The "Herrscher of Wind" scanned her surroundings with slightly bored eyes, her gaze finally settling on the Electromagnetic Cannon.

"Clumsy, bulky, ugly, and too easily cut too..."

"Cut?"

Ato keenly extracted information from the words of the Wind Herrscher, and in an instant, all sorts of speculations appeared in his mind that were more important than his current safety.

"Does 'cutting' refer to some kind of power that can separate objects? How did she do it? What is the principle behind it?"

No one dared to make a move, or rather, no one expected the Herrscher of Wind to appear before them so quickly.

An eerie silence fell over the scene, and no one dared to make the first move.

Even so, an overwhelming sense of fear, stemming from a physiological urge, surged from the hearts of everyone present.

Like a small antelope being targeted by a lion on the African savanna, even though its inner voice is frantically telling it, "Run, run away!"

The "Herrscher of the Wind" seems to be a being on a completely different level compared to ordinary humans.

The "Herrscher of Wind," floating in the air, did not rush to make a move. She was enjoying and reveling in the fear brought about by her presence.

Many involuntarily lowered their gaze, not daring to meet the Herrscher of the Wind's eyes.

A haughty halo shone upon the earth. The "Herrscher of Wind" floated above the crowd, looking down upon the earth and despising all living beings like a "angel".

She could easily kill everyone here with a flick of her finger, but that would be too boring for her.

Honestly there seemed to be a sadistic streak for Herrschers as she liked this kind of "fear," where ugly side of humanity that arises from fear, is even more in line with the taste of the "Herrscher of the Wind."

Faintly, the "Herrscher of Wind" seemed to sense a gaze that had not yielded to her in the crowd which displeased her.

Deciding to see if she could break this person's will she began gathering the winds around her.

Ato gripped a button in his hand which was connected to the reactors of the cannons.

With a single press, the remaining energy stored in the cannons will explode, annihilating everyone and hopefully the Herrscher present.

But doubt plagued his mind.

Sweat poured down Ato's head like a fountain with the decision weighing down on him.

He also compared the presence of the Herrscher of Wind to Orion and noted that he never felt this way when he was with Orion.

Ato was not afraid of dying but he didn't want to waste the lives of him and his team. He had to make sure that the explosion could be effective to kill or at least weaken the power of the "Herrscher of the Wind".

Unfortunately, he hasn't figured out the true nature of his abilities yet.

"Blanca, Griseo…"

The gale intensified, threatening to tear them apart in the next instant.

Suddenly, a deafening clap of thunder reached everyone's ears.

Suddenly many felt their bodies freeze up and some involuntarily dropped the weapons from their hands.

The Herrscher of Wind also began to look in the direction of the noise and noticed brewing lighting which fell down shortly after.

"So, they're making an appearance now?"

A smile appeared on the face of the "Herrscher of the Wind," right where the lightning had just appeared—the very spot where their paths had intersected.

In other words, the "Herrscher of Thunder" had now arrived.

She felt displeasure in the flashy entrance which made her suppress the urge to slaughter everyone present.

"Be glad, you ants. You'll all disappear from this world soon anyway, so it doesn't matter whether you do it sooner or later."

The gale around the Herrscher of Wind's body began to blur as a typhoon-like onslaught of wind blades that began to appear across the field.

Screams echoed around the shore as the wind blades flew

The Electromagnetic Cannons were as fragile as wet cardboard easily cut by the wind blades.

Ato and his soldiers were violently thrown into the air before violently crashing to the ground.

Causing many to throw up blood, a sign of internal bleeding.

Ato raised his head and looked around at his surroundings.

The Herrscher of Wind has left, and almost nothing around them leveling the buildings and cutting apart the bodies of the soldiers.

Wails and the smell of blood filled the air, plunging everyone into despair.

Ato knew that this was still the result of the "Herrscher of Wind" holding back. She was simply playing around and yet had destroyed this place completely.

"We can't do anything..."

Pain, helplessness, and sadness welled up in Ato's heart.

Slowly, his consciousness grew heavy, and the darkness prompted him to close his eyes.

Even as he lost consciousness, Ato's gaze remained fixed on the dismembered Railgun.

"How had it failed?"

Ato had a very solid grasp of physics, and a terrible thought appeared in his mind, causing him to subconsciously deny it.

However, time would not be kind to him any further. Just as the answer appeared in his mind, his will had already collapsed, unable to hold on any longer.

Even a veteran soldier like Ato could hardly hold on, so the fate of the others was predictable; casualties were almost inevitable.

But in the instant his vision went completely black, Ato seemed to see something bloom before his eyes.

It was a pink crystal flower.
