"What?! How did the elves get to our flank!?" A god-kin screamed with fury.
"Apparently one of our army divisions performed a full scale retreat. And that is what opened our flanks."
"Damn it! DAMN THESE DEMONS!"
"Oh quit your whining. If anyone here fits the definition of demonic, it's only you, and your armies." One of the more powerful elves showed up, and stabbed their daggers deep into the god-kin's collar bone, hitting every single vital point possible.
"Damn you, demon's servant…" The god-kin uttered in between spurt of blood as he died.
"HUH!? HOW?"
"When will you learn to just accept your death quietly!" The now angry elf said through grit teeth, claiming another head. "It's like you're just asking to die."
"Let's wrap this up quickly."
"Of course. No god-kin is worthy of my blade, but I'll cull their evil just the same." The elf ran off to find more to god-kin to feed their blades.
"They sure are a bit odd, but at least they're focused."
"I'd imagine getting the chance to see Mother on a regular basis, would make someone this way. They do call mother a demon, implying that she's evil. When in reality the opposite is the truth, and these idiots don't understand that there are consequences for their actions."
The battle raged, as many, many more Slane Theocracy soldiers, and god-kin were slain. The god-kin's corpses were collected, and returned to the elven lines. Elves that fell in battle would be returned home as well. As for the remaining corpses, there was another plan in mind for them.
The losses on both sides started reaching a ridiculous height. Slane Theocracy soldiers started losing the will to fight en masse, creating chaos within their ranks, which only further spiraled the deaths, and even caused the deaths of a few of the weaker god-kin.
Elven losses, while utterly substantial, were not having the same effect on them. Instead, it was like with every death, the rest fought just that much harder. Almost as if they too wanted to die.
This was simple. They knew that their mother could, and would revive them. Granting them a place in paradise, and the chance to see her every day! To them, this was simply the greatest reward. So once their brethren fell in battle, they were honored, while those alive were jealous.
Eventually the battle came down to the last resistance the God-kin could mount. With a measly hundred of them left, they continued to push their hardest. Though they too, soon were all killed off, in less than painless ways, and means.
…
The holy war, now over. The Slane Theocracy on the retreat, leaving behind all of their fallen. It was a victory for the elven side of the war. Though there were substantial losses… It was enough that Night Silver finally couldn't abide the wishes to stay hidden from the world any longer. She appeared and looked at all of the fallen elves…
I can feel that I've grown so much stronger than I was when I fought that damned Dragon Emperor guy. Still to think this is what happened.
The queen, battered and injured, came before her goddess, and mother. She tried to kneel, but was forced into a hug, feeling the tears touch her skin, she began to cry too.
"Mother, we'll always love you."
"I'll always love all of you! It pains me to see this happen. Don't ask me to stand aside a second time, I won't be able to take it."
"I won't… I promise."
"GOOD! Now, let's show a miracle only a god could perform." She walked over, and began the process of reviving her fallen children one by one, a kiss on each of their foreheads, spawning a light glow that both healed their wounds, their stamina, their life energy, and completely resurrecting them.
My strength, it's not fading. That's interesting… Maybe after all of them have been resurrected. … Nope, so it really is a rather powerful skill. To think I have this much power now. I'm not going to abuse this… I refuse. But I wonder, could I actually cast the same spell to summon my friends here?
"Mother, we've also gathered all the corpses of their god-kin."
"Good, I'll make sure to give them a chance to repent for their sins, through their offspring. Just like the last bunch that refused me. May their children bring good into the world, reversing the evils they've done."
She then cast a super tier spell, and used the Slane Theocracy's fallen as a catalyst to grow the forest… expanding it by more than 3 times. Then, at the very bottom of the leftover remnants built by Tus Nadair, she constructed a portal connecting to Tus Nadair. It would serve as a means for them to remain connected, without having to pray for a connection to show up.
…
With that, the Holy War ended. The god-kin army that had emboldened the Slane Theocracy to make such heinous actions, wiped out. Their lands, reduced by half. Their nation struggled, and fell into a civil war, as they blamed the failure of the campaign on the division that retreated first. A civil war that ultimately ended in the division's complete destruction.
Night Silver didn't worry about them anymore, because now, she would be the one to personally set them straight if they ever went out of line again. Elves were now seen as terrifying people not to lay a finger on, and hence their retreat into the forest.
Sometimes, the elves would lend a hand to the Robel Holy kingdom, in food, or even some magic items.
Baharuth rebuilt itself, and power returned to the norm, despite the desire from the Empress to pass the throne unto her eldest daughter, another faithful follower of Night Silver.
Years, then decades had passed, and it was time for the Great Dragon Mother to release her spell again. This time she received no resistance from anyone. Good, let's see if this group can finally kill that damned bitch once and for all!
Night Silver watched the spell, learning its nature as she did. Once it was finished she began searching the world at once. A tear rolled down her cheek. It's been 600 years since then! Can it really be! It has to be them!
…
Elsewhere in the world, the plains near Carne Village, a particular structure appeared, and with it a familiar face.
"WHA HUH!"
"Momonga, what's going on? Was there an update?"
"Supreme ones! Forgive my rudeness but is there something the matter?" A beautiful demoness spoke in a measuredly seductive tone.
