Chapter 198 - Ainz Ooal Gown (3)

With the tale told, Ainz Ooal Gown had a lot to think about. They were merely a handful of the members left, and now there was confirmation they were stuck in this new world. The weight of this reality was far more to take in than they thought.

"So, what do we do if we can't return home? Do we just, like, live here now?"

"Are we sure there's no way that we just return to our bodies in the other world, if we die here?"

"That doesn't work. I'd already been sent back. I am undead. Naturally I would have been sent back already." Momonga added.

Night Silver sat listening to them talk, doting on the two twins she finally got to meet. Lots of smiles, and nuzzling of cheeks were going on. So… Listening might not have been the best term to use.

"Sil, you've been here for 600 years now, and you've been incapable of discovering passage home?"

"That's right. I can confirm that even if you die here, you'll just be reborn here. Reincarnation is confirmed to be real, at least here in this New World."

"That's a wild claim. How could you possibly know that?"

"Remember how I mentioned Undine, she reincarnated as a boy. And grew up into a wonderful lover."

"Huh… Alright… I'll just take your word for it then."

"Good. Now then, how about I enroll these adorable cuties into school!? There's lot of children their age. Though they'll definitely be way stronger, I'm sure it'll be fun. What do you think?"

"Did you come here just to steal my children?"

"No, I really did miss you. And I think an education is really important for living a fulfilling life. You want them to live with fulfillment, right? Any mother would want their child to feel fulfilled."

"Can we have a few days to get adjusted to things here in this world first?"

"Of course, you can always get in contact with me through messages. But, I do have one rule you must follow, do not attack any dragons. If you do, and they end up being my children, you'll face the consequences."

"We're not leaving the tomb anytime soon. There's a lot of things I think we all need to get used to. And perhaps a discussion as to making you a member-"

"Stop there, I can not become a member of your guild. The problems that would create are way too big. We can continue being friends. But I can't be absorbed underneath another's banner. It would change the identity, and heritage of my people."

"Oh, I see…"

Night Silver noticed that her comments caused some pain in their hearts. So she set the twins down, patted their heads, with a circular motion, and a smile. "Stay here with your mother for now. And more importantly, stay safe." She spoke softly. "I'll return once I hear you call. And please, don't do anything rash that would make you my enemy. I don't want to weigh my friends against my children. There's only one answer a good mother could ever reach." She added, and disappeared through a portal.

"Well, that was definitely a threat."

"No, that was a warning. She doesn't want to fight us for the sake of our joint past together. And she said all of that to warn us what she'd do in advance."

"He's changed a lot."

"SHE's changed a lot."

"Ah, you're right. Anyway, let's get this meeting started."

…

"Welcome home mother. How was it visiting your friends?"

"I don't know. It honestly could go either way. Regardless, I'll do what I can to save those twins if it comes to that. They were even cuter, and more adorable up close, and in person, than they were described to me."

"Pfft, you're always like that mother, doting on the children."

"Of course! They're cute! And I love watching what they grow into. I love them."

"And we love you."

…

Days later, the meeting of the guild members finally came to an end. There was still a mixture of thought within the group, and some of their real personalities came to light. They hadn't come to a decision yet, but they did need to take a break.

Blue Planet, a romanticist, opted to save his decision after taking a trip to outside, to see the clear skies above. This world, truly, is a beautiful one. Tears rolled… "I could never have recreated this. It's just so much. I love it."

Peroroncino, an unscrupulous perv, spent his time indulging in the affections of the vampire brides, while Shalltear peaked. Did I program such a kink? Huh, guess I did. Ah that tickles.

Bukubukuchagama, the motherly slime, spent time playing with her two twins. They're so cute. I just love how their little outfits match their personalities, and clash with their sex. OH! It's absolutely precious!

Touch Me, the world champion knight, wandered the halls, aiming to see if there was anything he could do to help. "Sebas, I'm bored, let's go give Ainz some work to do! Surely he'll find it enjoyable."

"As you wish, Lord Touch Me. I will follow your instructions to the letter."

…

Momonga was sitting in a room, struggling to remain upright. Narberal Gamma was acting as his aid today. He sighed.

"My lord-"

The burst open, and in came Touch Me. "I knew it, you're slumped. Come on, let's have some fun! You like that magic stuff right? Well try some of it out."

"Huh? Like what?"

"Like that mirror, or something. Find something out there for me to do. I'm bored, and JUSTICE SHOULD NEVER BE BORED! I should always be helping people!"

"Alright… I'll give it a shot I guess."

"You know, you shouldn't feel bad about us being brought here. There's no way you could have known. If anyone could be at fault here, it would Sil-"

"But, you'd never say that to her face, would you."

"Absolutely not." He gave a big thumbs up. "She's beat my ass more times than the rest of the player base has, combined."

"Is that so?" Another slimy friend showed up. "Hey Momonga, I know you're beating yourself up about all of this. You really shouldn't though, just think about it like this, at least here, we aren't working to within an inch of our lives."

"Alright. I guess we let Sil know about this first."

"Nah, just do it. As long as we help out, we should be good. Everything will be fine."

"You're gutsy, but alright."
