The eyes of the council members burned with rage; they looked at Silva with hatred. One spoke, "We were going to make you the limelight of the Arcane Tower, give you endless opportunities to reach the top," he said, shaking his head in regret. "You really believe this man who created a rift for pleasure?"
He tried to make an argument, to make them seem like the reliable figures here, but Silva wasn't buying any of that. He could smell and see the lie easily.
He turned to Kendall. "Tell me, what's out there?" he asked.
Kendall's lips curled into a smile. "A world unlike anything that your puny mind can understand," he said, speaking in grandiose confidence. His eyes turned to the council members. "A world they wish they could be a part of," he added.
