The old Taoist didn't seem to mind. He adjusted his already tattered Daoist robe and raised his voice to shout.
But despite his efforts, no one stepped forward.
After wandering around some more and buying a few snacks, Bai Xiaofan and Xiao Mei found themselves in front of the old Taoist's stall while munching on their food.
"Come on, give me a reading!"
Bai Xiaofan, holding a skewer of grilled squid in his hand, said to the old Taoist in front of him.
The crowd around them, seeing someone else sit down at the old Taoist's stall, immediately grew curious.
Someone had just beaten up the old Taoist earlier, and now another person was coming? Why?
A group of bored onlookers decided to stay and watch, curious about what the old Taoist could possibly say.
The old Taoist looked at Bai Xiaofan and Xiao Mei, who were sitting across from him, and slowly shook his head.
"Young man, your fate... I can't see through it. You should leave."
