Chapter 42 - Chapter 42

Michael's POV

I am pacing back and forth in Alex's room because I am panicking. After all, I still haven't chosen who will take my place as the beta of the pack, and I have to make my decision to the head alpha tomorrow.

I was pacing in the room, and panicking when Alex walked in with a raised eyebrow at me, even though he knew what was going on, right then.

"You still haven't chosen someone?!" he asked, and I could feel the exclamation mark at the end of his question.

"No! I haven't! It's so hard for me to choose! All of the candidates I chose are well-suited for the position. They have their flaws, but nothing major that would affect their positions badly. I don't know what to do!"

Alex came to know and cupped my face. He made me look at him.

"Breah, love, breath"

"I can't! I am freaking out! Your father will be so mad, or worse, disappointed at me!"

"I know what you're feeling, trust me, I know, but it's nice to know that you are not feeling hes-"

"Is that really the point right now?! My emotions?!"

"Yeah, sorry, that's not the point. Let's do this? Let's make a list of pros and cons, okay?"

"I already did that!"

"Then you will do it again, this time with me."

"I don't have enough time! You must also have a lot of work to do."

"No, I don't. It's afternoon and I am here, in OUR room instead of the study, I think that should tell you that I don't have that much work, love"

"Oh yes..." I sighed and nodded because for the past few days, he has been eating and working in the study from morning to night. He only came to our room to sleep or sometimes take a nap in the afternoon, but that's it.

He took the chairs and table in the room, which I don't know why he has in his room with a couch and a small table for the couch, and made me sit on one of the chairs.

He came with papers and pens and dropped them in front of me.

"Now, start writing the pros of each of them on different paper, okay?"

"What will you do then?"

"I will read what you have written and mark the things I don't think are pros or add more things to the pros. My work right now is just to make your work easier, okay?"

I nodded. I pecked his lips for being such a nice and considerate mate.

I started writing the pros and cons on the papers while he stayed by my side and helped with the work.

It took us hours to just get through the pros and cons. It's almost dinner time.
