"Does anyone know why Dr Goult just dragged him away" a voice questions from the group, turning to face them I finally realise there's another woman. And who's him, oh shit, Will. They don't know his name yet. "I'm not sure to be honest, but I suggest we get moving the bodies to the laboratory" I reply heading towards the elevator, reaching the door I call it back up hearing footsteps behind as the rest of the group approaches. "Care to tell us who he is?" I hear Mr Collins ask as we all enter the elevator as I turn around. "That is a long story which we don't have time for right now" I reply as the elevator doors open to the unconscious bodies laid out in-front of us. "Let's get moving then"
Following Will whilst moving the bodies I notice that he knows very well how to navigate to the laboratory, turning around I see Mr Collins looking at him as well, maybe wondering the same thing. Thinking back I wonder what Dr Goult said, I heard a murmur but nothing more, it seemed to have shook Will a bit as his body did stiffen. If I have time I might check surveillance for the audio.
A few hours have passed and everyone is in the control room to discuss the results of what Dr Goult discovered. "We found a much more potent drug circulating their bloodstream which has similar strains to the pill, without much evidence our only solid conclusion is a stronger version of the pill. However, when examining the bodies we discovered needle holes within the skin, on the same spot on every one of them, this suggests that this more potent drug utilises an injection rather than a pill." Listening in Rose feels Will's hand on her shoulders squeezing down gently, tilting her head to look behind her, her eyes meet his in a questioning glance. "What else did you find out?" she queries, knowing he also helped, somehow. Her mind questioning what Will could possibly know about laboratory work, especially on people. "Well from looking at records of Dr Wilson we believe that he was working on a more advanced version of the pill. However, we do not know why it is an injection rather than oral form"
In the back of the room Mr Collin's voices "Knowing what Dr Wilson was like it was probably forced onto people without their consent, and knowing they wouldn't take a stronger pill that had the chance of affecting them like this, they were injected forcefully." Turning around I make eye contact with Mr Collin's. As much as I hate to admit it he is most likely right but what is the need to make a stronger version unless for a possible militaristic usage. Even then what is the point of an enhanced militia when everyone is under the normal pill not revolting. Unless. "I have an idea, but I feel like it could be very, and I mean very far stretched." Anxiety gripping me I start to wonder aimlessly as I start explaining "If he did make them stronger, he would only do it to enhance a military force because of the chance of normal people revolting or having adverse affects. But with the current pill there would be no point to administering this enhanced drug to the militia. Unless he knew there would be something that needed to be stopped." Taking a deep breath I take my seat on the chair as I feel everyone's eyes on me, feeling a hand grab my shoulder I unconsciously lean into it sighing heavily. "That is a very good idea" I hear Will whisper to me.
"I mean even if that is true, how would he know, there is no connection between Dr Wilson and the founders of the rebellion, I agree that it is a good thought, but a thought is all it is" Mr Collin's voice rings throughout the room. Hearing this Rose leans deeper into Will's arm in disappointment. "I sadly have to disagree, Mr Collin's, I will explain soon enough but I believe I have backing for Rose's idea that the enhanced version is meant for a military." Walking towards a computer everyone's eyes follow him as he slowly sets a screen up on the wall. "If you look closely at these scans you can see that muscle density is increased drastically along with adrenal gland production, this means that not only are the bodies stronger but also have a higher adrenaline capacity making them a formidable foe in battle."
Hearing that changes a lot I think, at least some of what I said was correct. I feel so small in this room, compared to everyone here I don't really amount to much other than the person that made a logo and raises some moral. I mean Dr Goult is a world renowned scientist that turned against the government and Mr Collin's is an amazing leader and intuitive mind and all the soldiers are here to lay down their lives for us. I need to get out of this room, I just can't stand it right now, I feel like all this pressure is suddenly hitting me. Surround by all of this. I can't take much more. Standing up with my legs shaking feeling Will help me I make my way to the door. "Im going to the control room for a bit, you can continue without me." Turning around I see Will looking at me, his eyes look confused. Putting it to the back of my mind I mouth to him that I will be back soon, watching him nod I leave closing the door behind me.
Walking up the stairs I had to the control room, my mind still in turmoil I need to do something. I had to the computer which is still logged in, scrolling to the surveillance I move to the correct timestamp and listen in. "And I'm sure you do as well Jake." Replaying it a few times my mind further goes into turmoil.
