After the call Brooke met up with Thane and told him everything Kayden had said. Surprisingly, Thane was the least bit fazed, in fact he seemed to have expected it.
"He must want to discuss your father."
"My father?" Brooke echoed. "What does he have to do with…" she stopped herself from finishing her sentence, realization harshly kicking in.
Her tone mellow, she lowered her head, and tucked her fingers in-between her thighs, "You thought the same thing too?"
Thane stole a glance at her, surprised, "I didn't think you'd piece that together."
Brooke sighed, "How could I not? If we're being honest, the moment I found out Mr Julian was Cassie's father I had my doubts. I figured that Serena could've been lying but…"
Thane completed her sentence, "But you were scared you could've been wrong and have her hopes shattered." He said reading her thoughts perfectly.
