"Mr Halton, line 3 through 7 are all calling for you?" his new assistant hollered over the layered voices of his public relation's team.
"Place them on hold!" he ordered, not sparing her a single glance.
"Mr Halton, we have to release a statement soon, it's only been an hour since Brooke's confession, and the articles online are taking jabs at your reputation." The lead of his team informed him, placing his tablet in front of him.
Ethan bit his lower lip, "And how are our stock prices?" he shifted his gaze to the other team, monitoring the market.
"For now they're stable, but we cannot guarantee this will last, we need to clear up this misunderstanding as soon as possible." they reiterated the same thing, piling up Ethan's stress.
