Rebecca, still standing with her arm now a mangled mess, gritted her teeth and snarled. Her eyes flickered with a hint of hesitation, but her warrior spirit burned hotter than ever.
"You've got to be kidding me..."
Six muttered, his eyes narrowing at the monstrous transformation.
Pilar, now towering above them, let out a guttural roar, a sound that shook the very earth beneath their feet. His body radiated raw, destructive power, and the air around him crackled with malice. The remaining Greater Daemons, sensing the shift in power, retreated momentarily in fear—this new form was a far greater threat than anything they'd encountered.
Rebecca, shaking off the pain in her arm, let out a deep breath. Her heightened senses felt the sheer pressure emanating from Pilar's transformed body. This wasn't just a fight for victory anymore; it was a fight for survival.
"Well, this just went from annoying to bad."
Rebecca said through gritted teeth, her legs tensing in preparation for what would come next.
Pilar, his monstrous form now fully awakened, snarled at them. His voice was distorted and deeper, as though coming from the belly of a beast.
"You think you can stop me, little sis? No one can ever escape me... No one will survive me, NOW!"
Rebecca's eyes flickered as her ears twitched. Her body thrummed with the anticipation of the fight ahead. Pilar was powerful, but she was faster, smarter, and most importantly, she was a relentless idiot.
Six's hand tightened around his Varis rifle. He had to be smart about this. The new Pilar was an entirely different beast. A one-on-one fight would be dangerous, but together, they might have a chance. He was already calculating the trajectory of his next shot.
Pilar lunged toward them, his jaws chumping the air with terrifying speed. Rebecca reacted immediately, leaping backward in a blur of motion, narrowly avoiding the deadly razor-sharp teeth. Her gaze locked onto Pilar, her body already positioning for another brutal strike.
She had no intention of letting him dictate the pace of this fight.
As Pilar charged forward again, his massive tail whipping toward Rebecca, she leapt high into the air with her trademark agility, soaring over the strike. With a growl, she landed behind him and slammed her foot into his back, sending him stumbling forward.
But Pilar was quicker now—faster and stronger than before. With a twisted, monstrous grin, he spun, his claws raking across the ground in an effort to strike her down.
Rebecca's red eyes gleamed with determination as she dodged, her legs moving faster than usual. She had to end this before Pilar adapted to his new form entirely.
"Luna Tijeras!"
With explosive force, she launched herself at Pilar, her powerful legs aiming for his neck again, aiming to end this nightmare before it could truly begin.
But Pilar wasn't done yet.
The moment her legs connected with his neck, Pilar's massive clawed arms snapped forward in a last-ditch effort to catch her. A battle of strength and speed, one last deadly struggle between the two.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
Six's heart pounded in his chest as he watched Pilar turn Rebecca's legs to shreds, ripping them off her body.
"Rebecca!"
He shouted as he fired massive overcharged plasma shots at the massive creature's exposed underbelly. He had one chance to save his beloved gremlin of a wife.
Rebecca, with her battered stomps for legs bleeding twisted mid-air, broke free from Pilar's claws just in time for Six to catch her. As he made his escape, he threw several plasma grenades into Pilar's mouth, causing a massive plasma explosion, the impact sending a shockwave through the air. Pilar roared in pain, his body writhing in the aftermath.
The combined power of the plasma grenades staggered the beast.
"Six, trust me. Get us as far as fucking possible. I'm going to squash his ass."
Rebecca pleaded with a look of not giving up.
"Ok."
Ever faithful to her, Six quickly responded, sprinting as fast as possible in his Terminator armor away from Pillar.
"Luna Max Crush!"
With her last remaining limb, Rebecca pushed Pilar, and his remaining greater daemons shrieked in agony with her attack. He let out a monstrous roar, his form flickering violently as the sheer gravitational force crushed him from all sides. The battlefield trembled, the very ground beneath them fracturing as the raw power of Rebecca's attack reached its peak.
For every agonizing second, the gravitational force grew stronger, compressing Pilar and his greater daemons into a singular point of devastation. Their bodies cracked like shattered glass, limbs folding inward under the relentless pressure. The very air around them twisted and warped, reality bending under the sheer force of Rebecca's final attack.
Pilar's monstrous form flickered wildly, his body struggling to regenerate against the overwhelming force tearing him apart. His guttural roars turned to garbled, agonized screams as he reached out—desperate, defiant—only to have his massive claws crushed inward.
Rebecca's crimson eyes burned with unyielding resolve locked onto his. She snarled through gritted teeth as she pressed her hand down.
"Stay down, you bastards."
BAAM!
A deafening shockwave ripped through the sky as a blinding rift tore open in the clouded, ash-filled heavens. From its depths, a meteor, wreathed in flames and streaking with cosmic fury, descended upon the battlefield. The very earth trembled beneath its impending impact, winds howling with the force of the incoming cataclysm.
Pilar's distorted face twisted in horror. He struggled, thrashed, but there was no escape.
Rebecca grinned through the pain, her voice laced with finality. Her grip tightened, pushing Pilar and his minions into the epicenter of destruction.
"This is for the limbs you took from me, asshole."
"Say goodbye, you ugly bastard."
"I always hated you and the rest of our family."
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Pilar spat his last words as the meteor struck with a cataclysmic detonation, engulfing Pilar and his remaining daemon horde in a blinding eruption of fire. The sheer force of the explosion ripped through the land, sending shockwaves that flattened everything in its path and debris flying for miles.
A towering pillar of flame erupted into the sky, painting the heavens in hues of crimson and gold. The sheer force of the impact wiped the area clean, reducing everything in its radius to nothing but smoldering ruin.
Rebecca could barely contain her grin, her eyes open against the onslaught of heat and wind, her breath ragged. Her vision blurred as the battlefield was swallowed in fire and ruin.
As the dust settled, a heavy silence blanketed the battlefield. The ashen sky slowly returned to its previous state, but in reality, she made things worse for the world as she added more debris to the clouded, ash-filled sky.
The once-monstrous Pilar was gone— nowhere to be found, reduced to nothing but remnants, his unkillable body having finally met its match.
Rebecca exhaled deeply, her arm swaying slightly as exhaustion finally caught up with her. She turned her gaze to the crater left behind, smirking despite the pain coursing through her body.
"There was no coming back this time, bro."
She spat at the ground, and her body wobbled, despite her grievous injuries, and let out a breath of relief. Her body ached, her vision blurred, and exhaustion clawed at the edges of her consciousness, but she refused to falter. She had won.
Six inspected for Pilar's monstrous body, but it must have failed to withstand the sheer destructive force of the meteor. The battlefield, once alive with chaos and bloodshed, was now eerily silent. The air was thick with the acrid scent of burnt flesh and scorched earth, the aftermath of a war that had finally reached its end.
Six held her body that was missing limbs, kneeled down, and steadied her on the ground. His expression was unreadable, but his grip was steady.
"You did it, but damn. You really do love to overkill everything, don't you?"
He murmured, his voice carrying a mixture of admiration and humor. His hands were gentle but firm as he supported her weight.
Rebecca gave a weak chuckle, resting her head against his chest.
"Takes one to know one, babe."
He shook his head, but there was nothing but admiration in his eyes.
"You're one stubborn piece of work, you know that?"
Rebecca smirked weakly.
"Yeah, well… would've been real embarrassing if I lost to that jackass."
She winced, glancing down at what remained of her limbs.
"Gonna need some work done, though."
Six shook his head, both exasperated and impressed.
"You think?"
He scanned the battlefield, making sure no stragglers remained.
"We need to get you patched up. Now."
Rebecca exhaled sharply but nodded.
"Yeah, yeah… but first..."
She turned her gaze skyward, watching as the last remnants of the meteor's impact dissipated into the atmosphere.
"That bastard's definitely not coming back this time, RIGHT?"
"..."
Six followed her gaze but couldn't nod in agreement.
"UUUUUUUUGH!"
