Capsule Technology:

Capsule Technology is a technology that allows anyone immersed within to compress their education and physical development into as short a time as possible, and many more medical treatments. While the capsule installs knowledge directly into the subject's brain, the device also strengthens and develops the body. They are extremely efficient at this task, and the subject can experience all the lessons and growth of years' worth of education in a month. However, there are downsides- this artificial education doesn't stick unless the subject actively makes use of their education, and the subject also requires physical therapy afterward to adjust to their new body.

"It is implied that one of the reasons for the economic stagnation of the Algrand Empire (I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!) is due to the overuse of education capsules, as it is easier for a lord who needs a role within their domain filled to simple pop someone into an education capsule than to find people who actually have relevant experience and expertise."

Upon accessing the skill screen, Six was now level 25, he decided to continue enhancing his ENERGY WEAPONS skill to 100. He invested the remaining points to bring MELEE WEAPONS to 62.

Six smirked as his Pip-Boy screen flickered, displaying his new level-up stats. Level 25—a milestone worth celebrating. With a practiced motion, he allocated his skill points.

-ENERGY WEAPONS: 38+62= 100 (Maxed Out)

-MELEE WEAPONS: 39+23= 62

Now came the best part—Perks. He scrolled through his options, considering his choices carefully before selecting the ones that would make him even deadlier.

-Grim Reaper's Sprint= A kill in V.A.T.S. restores 20 AP immediately.

-Laser Commander= +15% damage and +10% critical hit chance with laser weapons.

-Meltdown= Enemies killed by energy weapons explode in a damaging corona.

-Unstoppable Force= x4 damage when breaking enemy blocks with melee or unarmed attacks.

-Slayer= +30% attack speed for melee and unarmed combat.

Finally, the unique perk notification appeared.

Ding![ENERGY WEAPONS has been maxed!]

[Perk gained: Compact Technology]

-Compact Technology:

This unique perk allows the user to design smaller, more efficient, and more powerful versions of energy-based technology. Energy weapons become more compact without sacrificing firepower, making them easier to wield and conceal.

Six's eyes widened as he read the description. He couldn't help but smirk as he felt the rush of leveling up.

'This changes everything.'

His Energy Weapons skill was now maxed, meaning every laser, plasma, and Gauss weapon he wielded would operate at peak efficiency. But what really got him excited was the Compact Technology perk.

Smaller, more efficient, and even stronger than before? This opened up an entirely new avenue for customization. He could streamline energy weapon designs, making them easier to carry and conceal while pushing their performance beyond standard specs. Maybe even develop dual-wielded laser pistols without sacrificing power output.

He turned to Rebecca, who raised an eyebrow at his grin.

"Alright, what kind of nonsense are you cooking up now?"

Six closed his Pip-Boy, stretched, and chuckled, still scrolling through his skill screen.

"Let's just say, my days of lugging around bulky plasma rifles are over. Ever seen a laser Gatling gun the size of a submachine gun?"

She snorted.

"Yeah, in my wet dreams."

"Well, your dreams are coming true."

He closed his Pip-Boy and stretched.

"First things first—let's take this tech back to Lloyd and Viktor. If we can apply this to more than just weapons... imagine compact Vertibird cannons or portable Tesla coils."

Rebecca smirked.

"The Wasteland's doomed."

Six grinned.

"That's the plan."

"You just leveled up, and you're already thinking about making the wasteland even more unfair?"

She glanced at him and sighed, noting the gleam in his eye.

"Alright, babe. I need you to stop all your mad scientist nonsense and eat one of your two Umbilical Cords, since your transformation form has a high-level healing power. With it, you can return my legs that Pilar took from me."

Six eyed Rebecca warily, then glanced down at his inventory, where two cryptic, pulsing strands of cosmic flesh lay in wait. They didn't look appetizing.

"You're seriously telling me to eat this… so I can heal you?"

He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Rebecca rolled her eyes.

"Yes, babe. That thing ain't just some weird loot drop. Just pop it in. Chew, swallow, and brace yourself. It's a piece of what makes us us. The more you consume, the closer you get to breaking past your mortal shell."

"Ok. And why did you know my invader?"

Rebecca hesitated for a moment, rubbing the back of her neck before sighing.

"Alright, I guess it's time I stopped bullshitting you."

Six folded his arms, watching her closely.

"I'd appreciate that."

She glanced at him, then took a deep breath.

"First off, you ever wonder why I of all people ended up with you? Why I knew about your invader? Why I was able to transform?"

Six nodded slowly.

"Yeah. I figured you were just crazy enough to roll with the punches."

Rebecca smirked.

"I am crazy, but that ain't the reason. You heard us call each other brother and sister, right? Well… I'm not exactly the Rebecca from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners."

Silence.

Six's eye twitched.

"…What?"

"I mean, I have her memories, her emotions, her everything—but at the core? I, like you, am one of the young offspring of Outer Beings. The 'Gamers' you've encountered? Same deal. We were thrown into mortal bodies with mortal memories, all so we wouldn't get eaten by our own damn kind."

Six stared at her, his mind racing.

"So you're telling me…"

Six exhaled sharply, staring at Rebecca, his mind reeling from her words. His usual cocky grin faltered, replaced by a mixture of confusion and intrigue.

"That you're not actually Rebecca from Cyberpunk, but some kind of eldritch offspring playing house in the wasteland?"

Rebecca winced.

"I mean… yeah, pretty much."

"And me?"

Six gestured at himself.

"I'm not just some lucky bastard who got reincarnated into New Vegas with a Gamer System—I'm an Outer Being's kid thrown into a mortal shell?"

"Yup."

"…And Pilar?"

Rebecca sighed.

"Also one of us. Well, he was technically my older brother; we just had different mothers. But he was still a dumbass who got himself killed because he played too much into his daemonic side. The dumbest part? He could've used his true self to kill us from the start before I trashed him."

Six exhaled sharply, still processing everything.

"So, you're saying that if I eat one of those, I'd—"

"Unlock your powers and what you really are."

Rebecca crossed her arms.

"Your transformed state is just a fraction of your true form. And you're going to need to have it sooner or later, especially with the crap that's bound to come your way."

Six narrowed his eyes. "

You make it sound like something big is coming."

Rebecca smirked.

"Oh, babe, you have no idea."

He glanced at the grotesque, writhing cord in his inventory. Even with all the wild shit he had seen and done, this was pushing it.

"And you're sure this is gonna work?"

Rebecca gave him a look.

"Babe, trust me. Worst-case scenario, you get a power boost and then we figure out another way. Best case? You pop that sucker down, your transformation ability kicks in, and I get my damn limbs back."

Six sighed, rolling his shoulders.

"Fine. But if I grow tentacles or start hearing cosmic whispers, you owe me big time."

Rebecca smirked.

"Babe, if you do grow tentacles, we're gonna have a very interesting night."

Shaking his head, Six took a deep breath—and bit down.
