After the call, Huo Jingting got up from bed in the middle of the night and went to the bar.
Once there, his gaze swept across the hall and finally found the figure of Gu Chaohan in a booth in the corner.
Huo Jingting walked over, gave him a nonchalant glance, and casually asked, "What's up, who got you upset this time?"
Gu Chaohan didn't speak, just continued drinking, his handsome face clouded with a gloom that seemed impossible to dispel.
Huo Jingting poured himself a drink, "Where's your wife? You left her alone at home in the middle of the night?"
Su Yan had just had a miscarriage not long ago, her emotions surely hadn't recovered yet. Logically, Gu Chaohan shouldn't have left her alone to come out.
The man didn't answer, tilted his head back, and downed the drink in his cup.
Huo Jingting noticed the odd look on his face and hazarded a guess, asking tentatively, "What, did you guys argue again?"
