In the evening, right after dinner, Xia Lu went back to her room to work without wasting a second. Aunt Zhang brought out some fruit and saw that she had already disappeared. Zhou Mingchen reached out his hand, "Give it to me, I'll take it to her."
Aunt Zhang nodded and handed the fruit plate over.
Zhou Mingchen stepped lightly up the stairs, quietly arriving at the door of Xia Lu's previous bedroom. Through the slightly open door, he saw her fully absorbed in work in front of the computer, not noticing his arrival at all.
"No need to rush into work, take a break first." He entered the room, placed the fruit on the table, and said to her.
Xia Lu did not respond, nor did she lift her head. She continued to frown slightly at the screen, tapping on the keyboard from time to time. Zhou Mingchen stood silently aside, simply staying quietly.
"Is there anything else?" After two minutes, Xia Lu looked up, seeing he was still there, and hurriedly asked.
