It was already past noon, and Zhou Xinyao still hadn't come downstairs. Shao Meiru closed the magazine in her hands and quickly walked upstairs.
"Yaoyao, are you up?"
Zhou Xinyao was lying on the bed, holding her forehead with her hand. Hearing the knock, she propped herself up, reluctantly got out of bed, shuffled to the door in her slippers, and opened it. "What is it?"
"What's wrong with you?" Shao Meiru saw her looking listless, wearing a nightgown, not looking like she just woke up but showing no intention of getting out of bed, and thought she might be sick. She reached out to touch Zhou Xinyao's forehead but was brushed off as she turned her head. "Where do you feel uncomfortable? Is it a cold?"
"No, I'm not sick." Zhou Xinyao walked back to the bed with drooping shoulders, pulled back the covers, sat inside, and hugged the pillow placed beside her.
Shao Meiru followed closely behind, taking the opportunity to feel her forehead, "No fever, then what is it, a nightmare?"
