When Xu Nianhua saw that familiar face, she ran over in a hurry, the joy in her eyes completely unhidden.

Xu Nian'an looked her up and down, then after a moment said, "You look a bit thinner. Is the school food not good?"
"Where am I thinner?" Xu Nianhua touched her own face, unable to help saying, "I feel like I've even gotten fatter."
"Thinner."
Xu Nian'an handed her the peanut cream roll he bought. It looked like a cake, but not quite a normal cake. He'd heard from classmates that in Ningbei, girls especially love cakes like this.
So, Xu Nian'an made a point to ask around, went early today to buy it himself.
"Peanut cream roll. My classmates say it's really good," Xu Nian'an explained with a smile, looking like he was encouraging Xu Nianhua to try it.
