"Gu Mingcheng, if you can't fight, just let it go. Be careful not to tire out your painting hand!" Xu Nian'an called out kindly while whipping the cream.
These days, Xu Nian'an had noticed just how incredible Gu Mingcheng's hands were—his drawings were simply delightful to look at.
"I won't," Gu Mingcheng replied, watching as Xu Nian'an moved on to her second batch of cream, while he'd yet to even whip the egg whites. He felt stubbornly competitive!
He was determined to succeed.
Xu Nianhua had put all the dishes that needed simmering on the stove, leaving the task of whipping cream and egg whites to Xu Nian'an and Gu Mingcheng.
With her previous experience, Xu Nian'an found whisking so much easier now.
Gu Mingcheng, on the other hand, had never done anything like this before—completely inexperienced, he'd already wasted five eggs.
