Pu Sangzhi and Huo Feng arrived at the Kaifeng Humanities and Social Sciences Library, located to the east of the North-South Main Road.
You had to swipe your card to get inside, and once you entered, the vastness of the space inside the library took your breath away.
With a total of five floors, there was a small atrium in the center, surrounded by a ring of bookshelves, alongside which were study desks. The first floor housed a café where you could buy pastries and coffee to accompany your reading.
The overall atmosphere of the library was exceptionally pleasant, with a rich scent of books as though you were surrounded by an ocean of literature.
Pu Sangzhi loved places like this the most, especially the neatly aligned rows of books on the bookshelves.
If for most people relaxation meant playing with their phones or scrolling through TikTok, for Pu Sangzhi, it was reading books.
