Shao He turned around to look at Father Jiang, who rose to his feet and approached her.
"The lunch has been prepared, and I hope that Doctor Shao will move to the side hall," Father Jiang said with a smile on his face.
"My young lady does not wish to remain for the meal," Qingxia interjected.
Father Jiang's icy gaze fell upon Qingxia, "When the master speaks, when is it your place, a servant, to interject!"
Qingxia wanted to rebut, but she did not want to cause trouble for her young lady and could only step back and lower her head.
Shao He let out a cold laugh, "I apologize, Doctor Jiang; my maid does not understand the rules well, and I, her master, have failed to teach her properly. As for the meal, please excuse us."
Father Jiang still blocked their path, showing no intention of stepping aside.
"Is Master Jiang intending to force me to stay for the meal?" Shao He aksed, her voice faint but carrying a dangerous edge and an authoritative air that couldn't be ignored.
