Chapter 11 - Shishi... a dream or reality

Mo Jinsheng has never once failed to come home everyday. He might not sleep in the same room as me but he was still in the house. I must have gotten used to that because when I got home after shopping, the butler had announced that Mo Jinsheng was on a business trip to the neighbouring town the house left empty. I almost wanted to go to my own house. The people in the house all felt like background music to me.

I felt... Lonely!

No way! How can I feel lonely. I like being alone for most of my time. Desmond would always complain about how boring it is but for me it was peaceful. I cannot feel lonely because of Mo Jinsheng.

Finished with all my nightly routines, I laid on the bed, turned and turned and turned and turned again then got up and started to check out the new project that the Li family was doing with the Mos.

The project was with a subsidiary of the Mo Conglomerate, PHRASE, a fashion company which will be working with 'Guang' my jewelry company.

The collaboration will produce clothings with pieces of jewelry attached to them.

By the time I was half way through, the door swung open without any noise. Mo Jinsheng walked in slowly towards the bed. I was sitting on the bed with pillows as a back rest and the laptop on my thighs. Instead of climbing his side of the bed, he makes a right turn. As he drew closer, his scent mixed with alcohol wafted into my nose, overwhelming my senses. Up till this moment I didn't know that my senses had masteryhis scent.

"Mo Jinsheng, why are you back?"

"Shishi, I miss you" he growled

Shishi? So he liked her that much. But why is he here then?

"Why are you here then? Just go to your Shishi" I didn't know what happened to my throat but my voice didn't come out well. I was most likely very angry. Even without love how can a woman ignore the fact that her husband was calling another woman's name?

"Shishi... Come back okay. I'll be good. I'll let you do whatever you like to me,okay. Hmm... Okay"

He was holding me so close yet so careful, I almost thought I was Shishi. His cinnamon scent kept invading me coupled with the alcohol, it was diuretic. I was drowning in but I couldn't extricate myself. He was too close.

Too close! I jolted out of whatever that could have been. Pushing him unto the bed, I tried to pull off his shoes. He was really drunk.

The drunk Mo Jinsheng was too clingy. He kept whining like an alarm clock until I placed him properly on the bed with much effort. I laid on my side trying to catch my breath, he does weigh a tonne.

Deep into the night, it felt like something was falling slowly unto me. Frightened I open my eyes to a Mo Jinsheng staring deeply at me.

" Is he dreaming again" I wondered

"Mo Jinsheng" I called tentatively. It might be a different dream from before, what if he thinks he is facing an enemy. Different thought paraded my mind. My imaginations growing out of range.

"Mo Jinsheng" I called again. I tried to get him off but he was like a brick wall, immoveable.

"Mo...hmmmm" his lips was prying mine. He had invaded me too suddenly. Who does he think he is with now. I pushed hard but it agitated him. He became more oppressive. One of his hands held me in place and the other slipped into my nighties. His hands were running everywhere, I didn't know where to protect. If only I could scream. He had slipped his tongue in the moment I tried to scream.

I stopped fidgeting and quietened, his hands moved rhythmically, all my nerves were taunted. It went on for almost one hour but he didn't go any further. Along the line I was relieved and ....hmmm.... Relieved.

He adjusted himself. Holding me with both hands he turned over. I was now on him.

"Shishi..... Shishi, i love you"

As expected, it was Shishi.

"Mo Jinsheng get over yourself already. This girl here is Li Chaihong. The Miss Li that shares a marriage certificate with..."

"No, Shishi."

I pushed him roughly yet he didn't budge. I was still firmly in his arms.

It was growing into something that was disgusting and irritating. How in the world am I supposed to act as if I cared. I don't care if he married a snake or falls in love with a camel.

"Mo Jinsheng, let me go right now". He didn't

"Do the men in your Mo family like two-timing this much? Desmond..."

"Shhhh... One more word and we will be trying out what we did earlier again"

Me: ...

"Mo Jinsheng, has it worn off?"

"Yea, with all your ranting anyone will become sober"

"Please Mo Jinsheng, always drive straight to your Shishi's house at any time like this. If this is repeated, your Shishi might have to leave the capital for me. Don't take my silence for foolishness. I could be very decisive when I want to."

"Noted" his voice had lost all the warmth it

had reverting to the cold flat one.

"Then, get down. Your weight is killing"

"Hmp!" Isn't this too biased. When he taught I was Shishi he was warm and loving but once the role changed his attitude did u- turn too. Not that it bother me anyway.

"Miss Li" he called out to me

"I apologise for tonight. Judge me but don't take it to heart ."

His apology was forceful his cold voice chilling and frustrating.

"Who cares" I shrugged.

I never turned my face towards him again that night. For me, Mo Jinsheng was a disciplined and very well mannered man, it was good to know he possessed such emotions even if they were not meant for me.

"Just don't do this again."
