Although he would never forget how simple and warm-hearted those Breton peasants were, willing even to share their meager drinks with a stranger like Arthur, he was also quite certain they didn't genuinely trust him.

Because when they finally decided to seek his help, they refused to reveal their current hiding place, and besides telling Arthur that someone had betrayed them, they were unwilling to provide any more information.
