Rein recalled the part of the Floating City design diagram in his mind that pertained to the prison.
On both sides of the corridor ahead, there were holding areas for Transcendent beings. The rooms were larger, and the cells were more robust, with features like special energy restriction devices and strong alloy grilles to counter melee types.
The unknown presence made Rein increasingly vigilant.
However, Rein did not continue to linger. He slowly walked forward.
The sound reminiscent of breathing became louder, seemingly emanating from the fifth cell on the right about twenty meters ahead.
Additionally, he heard other noises coming from farther away in the prison.
