The Finals G1 was extremely disruptive, as no team in NBA Finals history had ever shot threes so frantically.
This is incredibly unorthodox. Just a few years ago, when the Detroit Pistons were competing against the San Antonio Spurs in the Finals, the Pistons averaged only 11 three-point attempts per game, and the Spurs averaged 14.8.
Just three seasons later, the Warriors' three-point attempts in the previous game were already more than double that number.
In fact, when the Orlando Magic faced the New York Knicks, they also thought about using three-pointers to solve the problem.
The problem was, when the space was opened up, T-Mac still couldn't close the game.
The Magic Team had already used extreme spacing to pry open the Knicks' defense for T-Mac, but in the fourth quarter, if you yourself become feeble, even if others perform a full split, it won't help.
