The chants from the crowd were driving Kobe crazy. He looked at James in disbelief, the anger inside him almost impossible to contain.
Kobe had already suppressed his anger once today. After elbowing James, he didn't escalate the conflict further, nor did he argue with him. He tried to be the bigger brother, to play the role of a good leader.
But now, he could no longer hold it in. His rage was intense, and being a man, he couldn't digest it himself, so James bore the brunt.
Kobe walked up to James and, like Vito Corleone scolding Johnny Fontane, grabbed James by the hands and shook them violently, yelling in fury.
"Damn coward, what's wrong with you, act like a man," you could tell from Kobe's gritted teeth and fierce expression, he was genuinely breaking down, "this is why you'll always be a loser! This is why you're not even as good as Brandon Roy! Damn it, damn bastard! I'm disappointed in you, terribly disappointed!"
