Shen Fanyun dried his wet hair with a towel and sat in the living room.
Lin Jia cradled a cup of ginger tea, sipping it intermittently without making eye contact, though her peripheral vision never strayed from him.
"Director, drink your tea," Lin Jia reminded him.
Shen Fanyun nodded. "Alright."
The earlier awkwardness gradually faded with the passing of time. Both seemed to be searching for a topic of conversation, but silence won out in the end. However, judging by Lin Jia's calm exterior, she seemed far more composed than Shen Fanyun. It was as if what had happened earlier had nothing to do with her.
"Um, if there's nothing else, I should get going," Shen Fanyun said after sitting for a while, preparing to leave.
A fleeting look of disappointment crossed Lin Jia's eyes. She hesitated, then changed the subject. "Mom doesn't close her shop until ten, so she won't be home for another hour and a half."
