In seeking to convict, why worry about having no pretext?
This He Jing was insistent that Chen Yang was cheating, so why bother with what Wang Jingman had to say?
He Jing was still relentless, rattling on to the side.
Wang Jingman wanted to reason with them, too furious to bear it. She knew very well about Chen Yang's character, and he would never do such a thing.
Chen Yang, however, was much more calm. He hadn't done it, so why argue with them?
Chen Yang stopped Wang Jingman and stood up, looking over at He Jing.
"You've said so much, can you provide even a shred of evidence? Even if I did cheat, which I didn't, what are you yelling about without proof?" Chen Yang said coldly, staring at He Jing.
He Jing laughed at his words, took a long drag of her cigarette, and exhaled heavily saying, "We'll know if there's evidence soon enough, what's got you so worked up? I hate those who cheat in mah-jong the most; if you can't afford to lose, don't play."
