The woman said coldly, "It's none of your business who I am. Come with us now!"
With a wave of her hand, two uniformed inspectors immediately stepped forward, pulled out handcuffs, and cuffed Zhao Dong's hands.
Zhao Dong's eyes turned icy. "What is this all about?"
"Don't play innocent," the woman replied coldly. "You'll find out what's going on when we get to the station."
Zhao Dong frowned but ultimately didn't resist. This was one of China's law enforcement agencies, after all. Resisting would be tantamount to opposing the entire country. Fine, he would go and see what was happening.
And so, Zhao Dong was handcuffed and taken to the car. Ding Lan witnessed the scene, a deep shock surging through her heart.
Why was Zhao Dong being taken away in handcuffs? Could he have committed a crime?
