One of them codenamed Phantom, and the other Iron Hand. The first time they met, they were responsible for protecting Yoshida Kurosaki, letting that Superdream Dealer escape from David's grasp.
But later their car was blown up by V and Jack, and they've been stuck in Night City ever since, even helped Lille a little in Dog Town. Although it wasn't much, they had some contact.
As for the reward, what they wanted was: they wanted to record everything.
Clearly, these two guys were pretending to be mercenaries, but were actually media people...
