Li Yuan smiled. "Then when we go back to your hometown, we can bring your grandma and Ningning to Modu. That way, you can see them every day."
Xia Zhijin's eyes lit up for a moment before dimming again. She gave a subtle shake of her head, not having the heart to tell him the truth. "Thank you, Li Yuan."
Li Yuan gently pulled her into his arms and felt her body give a sudden tremble. "Zhijin, I know I might not always do things right or think things through completely, but I hope we can always be open and honest with each other. Please don't hold anything back from me."
"Mhm," Xia Zhijin answered shyly, aware that some passing students were already glancing in their direction.
"You should head back to the dorm. I'm going straight to the company."
Watching Xia Zhijin walk away, Li Yuan fell silent. I've been paying too little attention to her lately, and I haven't taken the time to truly understand her situation.
