Boyeve discovered that the space around him had fallen into a strange state of stasis, where everything, except for the monster, had stopped moving.
In order to prevent himself from being killed by that bizarre creature, Boyeve exerted all his strength to activate his powers and even tried to burst forth with his qi to call for help.
But even the circulation of his qi had slowed to an infuriating crawl.
It was then that Boyeve realized that what was affected was the time around him, and that monster could move normally in this slowly flowing time!
Although he couldn't release his qi, at least maintaining its emission could slow down the speed at which that monster approached him, so Boyeve never stopped trying.
Taking advantage of this brief moment when the monster couldn't get close, Boyeve engaged in rapid thought... thinking...
"I should have read more books normally."
