Catrin looked up in his eyes, her brows furrowing a little in frustration. 

And just one look, and Idris knew she was not ready to accept it. Not even know. 

"Idris, you can't be blaming me," she said, her voice laced with "I just wanted to scare her. To push her enough that she admits her wrong and returns. How could I have known that she would stupidly sign it without any care? I never wanted her to sign those papers. It was just —"

"You didn't want her to sign those papers?" Idris repeated with a scoff, his jaws tight in anger. 

"Of course, why would I? She is my daughter. How can I —" She tried to defend her intention. 

But just then, Idris snapped at her —loud and sharp. "Then why the hell did you prepare such papers?" 

Catrin flinched, struck for a moment. She took a step back instinctively —scared for some reason. 

"Why the hell did you bring it up to her today, when you didn't want her to sign them?" 

"I … I wanted her to see …"
