Arwen was sitting and frowning in the car when her phone vibrated again. When she checked, Ivy's name was flashing on the screen.
"Hello!" she answered, sliding the icon to connect the call.
"Ms. Quinn, once again, we are really sorry." Ivy's voice carried genuine regret.
Arwen's lips curled up in a faint smile as she shook her head and replied softly. "Please don't be. Dr. Calvin is a reputed doctor. It's only right for him to prioritize saving lives. I can understand the situation that happened today."
"Still, we knew you were waiting to know about your reports," Ivy spoke again, her voice still as polite as ever. "If an emergency surgery hadn't been scheduled in the evening, your appointment with Dr. Calvin wouldn't have gotten postponed like this."
"It's fine. You can always schedule another appointment," Arwen replied, though her voice lacked excitement.
