"Where did you go?" Arwen asked when she saw Aiden finally entering the room. Her eyes darted to look at the clock. It wasn't very late, but still, she was expecting him to come early.
Aiden looked at her forehead, which was still wrapped with a bandage. "Did you change it?"
Arwen touched the gauge and slowly nodded. "The nurse came earlier to help me change it. It's no longer hurting, and I am better."
"And did the doctor come?" he asked again, and she pursed her lips before rolling her eyes at him.
"Husband, he had long said I am fine. Do you still not believe him?"
"When it comes to you, I believe no one," he said without hesitating before stepping closer to look at her carefully. "You are the treasure for which I can risk everything in this world. I can't bear to see even a strand of your hair getting harmed."
