Chapter 2 - A Room of Reflections

With this, I not only fed him with some beneficial suggestions but also got information out of him.

For example, his people were planning to roam around the city and gather information about how we managed to defeat the armies of the Land of Earth and if the Uzumaki were involved in it.

So, they were doubting that we had a contract with the Uzumaki huh… yeah, that was to be expected.

The good thing was that they only had a little doubt about this and he was just here to test waters. With a few careful words, and a decent bit of suggestion, that doubt was removed. Not only that, but now he thinks that the Land of Flowers is actually using the Uzumaki attack to their advantage to make everyone think that they are strong, while not actually having a force of their own.

"By the way, Kazuya-dono. Do you have any ideas about what to do with the Uzumaki? As you said, with those barbarians around, we might not be able to sleep in peace."

"Hmm… actually… right now, doing anything which might directly go against their warnings would be nothing but foolishness. The war has gone on for too long and We think Your Highness would also want time to peacefully increase your forces. As for how to solve the Uzumaki problem… how about letting someone else solve it for you? After all, there are nations who have a far bigger grudge against the Uzumaki than you do. Just push them a bit and they would go on a crusade against them."

"You mean the Land of Earth?" He asked.

"Hmm. The Land of Lightning and the Land of Water are also options but the Land of Earth is the safest. After all, their Daimyo is already dead. The nobles are trying to prove themselves to take the throne. Not to mention Iwagakure is out for blood. They are just restrained to not make their situations worse. Throw a bit of bait and they will jump on it like hungry wolves."

"What kind of bait?"

"Hmm, Konoha has the Uzumaki Sealing techniques. Collaborate with Danzo Shimura. After all, you are making him the hokage, it can't be for free. Tell him to send his people to use the Uzumaki Sealing jutsu to attack nobles of the Land of Earth and Iwagakure outposts, maybe rob things to make up for their own lack of funding. This will make Iwagakure and the Land of Earth ignore the Uzumaki warning and go for them with no bars held back. Let the two groups bite each other off."

"But… what if Danzo Shimura's movements are found out?"

"Then sell him off? After all, ninja are just tools, aren't they? A tool which can hurt the master is not a good tool. What is even the use of keeping such a tool around?"

"Yes! Yes, ninja are just tools. They should act like one."

"Indeed. Your Highness has amazing methods. We can see the Land of Fire becoming the mightiest nation under your rule." I praised with a smile while rolling my eyes.

Everything I have told him to do will make his rule look strict and good to most nobles and even his own father… at least at the start. It will only show negative effects when Danzo is able to control Konoha completely.

After all, knowing that bastard, he would do everything in his power to have this guy removed and replaced by another puppet and that will ensue a fight between the nation and the village.

Such a fight would give the Land of Flowers plenty of opportunities.

Until now, I had to make sure to use him to reign in that madman from turning towards the Land of Flowers.

I also managed to get one last agreement out of him… to completely forbid Konoha ninja from entering the Land of Flowers and its allied countries. The reason for this was to help calm down the spooked nations who are very resistant to the current reputation of ninja. I promoted the idea saying that such a move would make him seem more benevolent towards smaller nations gaining their friendship and also reign in the growing power of Konoha ninja long enough for him to make his own forces.

After the dinner and long discussion, we got up and he left for his room to rest, but not before thanking me.

His exact words were… If you weren't the next daimyo of the Land of Flowers, I would gladly have you as my Prime Minister or personal advisor.

For this, I merely smiled and told him to ask me for advice anytime he wanted.

After he left the room to rest, the guardian ninja followed him too, leaving only Grandpa and me in the room.

Well there was also Kuroka in my lap.

"Are you sure about what you are doing, Kazuya?" Grandpa asked me.

"Yes." I answered.

"Good. Then I won't say anything anymore."

x_

"Do you think that will work? Would the Crown Prince really be able to make Danzo Shimura the Hokage?" Kuina asked.

"That depends on Danzo Shimura himself. Whether he can sway the people in his favour. At most, I have helped him remove his greatest competitor, Sakumo Hatake who could have made Konoha stronger. With him on the Daimyo's side and his son away from Konoha, they would lose two kage level fighters. Orochimaru is still in Kumogakure, right?"

"Yes. The prison wasn't destroyed." Kuroka said.

"And even if it did, he has the blemish of being caught by the enemy and stealing the tailed beast. If he cannot hand over the Eight Tails, he is just a political liability and no one would make such a person a kage." Saitō said. He had a very keen idea about the political structure of the ninja world after staying here for such a long time.

"Still, even if he does become the hokage, he won't have full control of the village. The news has already spread that the third hokage has confessed to having sold off the Senju and the Uzumaki Clans. After such a precedent, the villagers would surely implement some tough measures to control the power of the next hokage, probably a council of clans or something along the lines. How far they go is on them. After all, this is peace time and they do have that leeway now. Still, the power of the hokage will be severely restricted from now on."

"That's all well and good but I don't understand why you are pushing for that guy to become the next hokage. Wasn't he the guy behind the destruction of those five villages? I thought you would be planning to have him executed than do such a thing for him." Toji asked.

"Ah, that's because Konoha is too strong, Toji. If this were an anime, Konoha would be the place the main characters are born. Everywhere else is just filler and unimportant. For other villages, having one or two kage level people is a blessing. For Konoha, kage levels are something which jumps up every season like weeds. After all, that's the place which contains the combined heritage of the best clans of this world, people who had followed Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha's alliance for a secure future. It's not so easy to weaken them by ordinary means. Konoha is a tree which can take a lot of beating. To make it fall, we cannot rely on force. What we need… is a disease… and that Danzo Shimura… he's a disease."

"Huh?" Toji looked confused so I explained further.

"Danzo Shimura was a member of the guard squad of the second hokage Tobirama Senju. At the end of the First Great Ninja War, there was a rebellion during the signing of a peace agreement between Konoha and Kumogakure. The second raikage died and the enemies chased after the second hokage. When they were sure that they would die, Tobirama Senju asked his squad what they wanted to do. At that time, Hiruzen Sarutobi offered to stay back and block the enemies to help the rest escape. Tobirama Senju looked at him for a moment and declared that he would be the next hokage and went off to fight the enemies on his own… and died. That's how Hiruzen Sarutobi became the third hokage. Danzo Shimura… he was the rival of Hiruzen Sarutobi, someone also present at that time. He has always regretted hesitating back then, believing that the position could have been his had he offered to stay back to fight."

"That's not the case right?" Kuina asked.

"Obviously not. Hiruzen Sarutobi was a member of Tobirama Senju's team, his own disciple along with Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitakodo whereas Danzo Shimura, Torifu Akimichi and Kagami Uchiha were just his trusted subordinates. He would obviously hand over the position to one of his own disciples rather than just some normal subordinate. Moreover, Hiruzen Sarutobi's talent was also the best among the group. I personally think had Danzo offered to stay back and stop the enemy, Tobirama might have actually accepted and still made Hiruzen the next hokage." I laughed at the thought. It was hilarious. "Still Danzo Shimura has always deluded himself by thinking he had missed the chance to become the next hokage… and it has driven him insane."

"So he's crazy?"

"Crazy and petty. He has an inferiority complex the size of the hokage mountain and paranoia to match it. He manages his own private army called the Root, a side branch of anbu which does the filthiest of the jobs which could get the village banned should they ever be discovered. He has made all his subordinates emotionless drones. He trains them with mind breaking levels of training from a young age, keeping them in pairs with another kid… and for passing the exam… they have to kill their partner they were raised with. After that they are branded with a seal which will prevent them from ever revealing anything about Danzo or the Root, making them perfect killing robots. And his excuse for doing so… it's all for Konoha."

"That's horrible." Kuina said while Kanae, Kasumi and to some extent even Rina and Mina looked appalled.

Rose and Princia had a disgusted expression on their faces while Stussy and Sera were blank, showing no emotions. They had probably seen worse.

I turned to Stussy. "Now tell me Stussy, even after all that, if you were to get a subordinate with incredible potential, someone who is sure to get to the Kage level in the future with unlimited prospects… what would you do?"

"Eh… I would train them as my right arm, to make sure they are loyal to me."

"And that's where you are different. In the case of Danzo Shimura… he would rather see them dead. That's the level of paranoia he has. And on top of that, there is his greed. He always wants all the good things for himself. He would gladly sacrifice anyone or anything, even wait until Konoha is destroyed in front of his eyes as long as he can escape unscathed, because according to him, he can remake Konoha but if he were to die, everything would be lost. That's the kind of guy Danzo Shimura is. Now tell me, what would happen if such a guy is made the most powerful person of a village full of geniuses?" I asked.

"He would uproot the buds before they could ever bloom." Princia said, looking… colder than usual.

"Exactly. That guy is a shit stirrer, so I gave him a bigger stick. Let's see what mess he makes. With him at the helm, Konoha is bound to be weakened, maybe even start a Civil War. Worst case, I can always reveal his shady information to everyone and have him thrown out of his position or even executed… that is if he doesn't do it himself. Any other questions?" I asked.

"Ughh, what's the next plan of action?" Kuina asked.

She looked like she wanted to change the topic as soon as possible.

"Next our focus will need to be shifted towards the samurai training and industries. Stussy, Sera and Saitō will be looking out for spies. I will arrange for new teachers for the kids as soon as possible. Rina, Mina, did you find any information about what I had asked you to look for? I asked.

The two sisters nodded. "Yes. We have two potential clans as recruits. The Rinha Clan is a clan of doctors and medical nin. They are not allied to anyone and are often attacked for their techniques. The Fuma Clan in the Land of Rice Fields. They were a great clan in the Warring Clans era but have faded away. They are currently an independent clan, struggling to survive nowadays. If they are offered help, they can teach the kids about the basics of chakra as well as other arts ninja use." Rina said.

"Hmm. That sounds good. Kuroka, contact them. If they don't want to join the Land of Flowers, just hire them to teach the kids. I can pay them for their services. But if they ask to establish a ninja village in the Land of Flowers, reject them."

"Okay, Kazuya-sama."

"As for Rina and Mina, we will start checking the kids for spies and using security fuinjutsu on them. With the amount we have recruited, I am afraid we have to work for a month or two just for that."

Once that is done, there will be one more thing and then… I will do my first world jump.

With the support of the Land of Fire and the mess in the ninja villages, there would hopefully be no attacks for the next few months.

- Jiraiya -

He laid in the hospital bed, still trying to wrap his head around what was happening in the village.

Sensei… he publicly accepted the betrayal of the Senju and Uzumaki Clan… and Tsunade… he had not seen that look on Tsunade's face… ever…

It was as if the whole world had gone crazy.

Jiraiya was sure that if he hadn't pushed all his chakra to defend, he probably would have lost his life instead of just having broken hands and ribs from the attack.

The medical ninja in the hospital were able to somewhat heal him but he was still asked to rest for a day before he could be released.

Jiraiya was however not going to wait and waste time here.

He needed to go out and talk to Tsunade and Sensei once more.

But just as he was about to leave the hospital room through the window, the door of the room opened.

It was the… Uchiha military police…

"Jiraiya… you are to come to the hokage building for investigation."

"Hah?" The words took him by surprise as he didn't know what was going on. "What kind of investigation?"

"You are accused by Danzo Shimura of bringing foreign spies into the village."

"What?!"

"Among the two children you brought to the village, one was an Uzumaki Clan spy. You are to come to the hokage building for investigation." The Uchiha member said.

Jiraiya's eyes widened. "What happened to Nagato?" He shouted as he neared the two Uchiha's.

They took a defensive stance in reply, sharingan flaring in their eyes, making Jiraiya realise that he was too aggressive, so he raised his hand and asked again. "They are not spies. They were my students. Where are they?" He asked.

"We don't know that. Advisor Shimura has called all clan heads to the hokage building. He is the one who knows about the whole event as it was his anbu who took the action. Anything you want to know will be revealed in the hokage building. Now, please follow us quietly." The Uchiha said.

He nodded and quickly headed towards the hokage building, not waiting for them to catch up with their speed. He needed to know what was going on.

On reaching the hokage building, the scene was hauntingly similar to the last time, only difference being the absence of sensei and Tsunade.

"What is going on here? Where are my disciples?" he quickly asked.

Other things aside, Nagato and Yahiko's condition mattered the most to Jiraiya right now. He couldn't fail them.

"So you accept that you brought those two to the village?" Danzo asked.

Jiraiya narrowed his eyes. He had never liked this friend of his sensei. The man's methods always rubbed him the wrong way.

Still, he kept his calm. Right now he needed to know where Nagato and Yahiko were first.

"Yes. In case you didn't hear what I just said. They are my disciples. Now, where are they?" He asked again.

"Did you know that the red haired boy was a member of the Uzumaki Clan?" Danzo asked again.

A bad feeling arose in his heart at the question.

"Nagato is an orphan. I have been teaching him for over eight months. He was from the Land of Rain, same as Yahiko." Jiraiya replied, avoiding the question.

"Was he a member of the Uzumaki Clan?" Danzo asked again.

"He was a civilian kid on the verge of death I found in the Land of Rain. The red hair and chakra might suggest a distant uzumaki clan heritage but it was not verified. When I took him in he was completely untrained."

"And yet he was being protected by spies who could remain hidden from even the finest of anbu until they attacked. Tell me Jiraiya, do you think that sounds suspicious?"

Jiraiya's mind blanked.

"What?!"

"While you have been sleeping in the hospital, the entire village has been in a state of emergency. Every one is being checked for any connection with the Uzumaki Clan. In one of these searches, your two disciples were reported. One of them, the red haired one, had the features of a classic Uzumaki Clan member. High Chakra reserves and blood red hair. My anbu and I went in to question them and imagine my surprise when these…" Danzo signalled a man who unsealed the corpses of a white… humanoid creature of some type… "Emerged from our bodies as well as the ground, quickly dragging the boys and taking them away. These creatures can hide themselves and absorb the chakra of the one they are parasitizing. Several of them were protecting those boys and even sacrificed themselves without any hesitation."

Jiraiya's mouth opened as he quickly headed forward and checked on the bodies

"Do you have any answer for that, Jiraiya?"

"I… no. This can't be." His mind had gone blank.

"Why did you bring a boy from the Uzumaki Clan and keep him hidden?" Danzo questioned.

"Now now, Shimura-san, let's not hurry and start pointing fingers. In case you have forgotten, Jiraiya was knocked out before Hiruzen Sarutobi revealed the news about the Uzumaki's threat. That's something none of us knew, so it's only normal he didn't know as well. Now if you all had revealed it at the start of yesterday's meeting, perhaps Jiraiya could have revealed the information about the Uzumaki boy… so, you advisors and Hiruzen Sarutobi who knew the news and kept mum… were also partly responsible for this. As for Jiraiya, the Uzumaki Clan was considered allies of Konoha until yesterday. It is only normal for Konoha Shinobi to protect someone from an allied clan, especially one which provides us with most of our fuinjutsu and barrier jutsu." Shikano Nara interrupted.

Danzo bristled at the accusation but gritted his teeth and kept quiet.

"Hmm, in case everyone here has forgotten, the village also needs an Uzumaki to be the jinchuriki which you four lost." Gorou Uchiha added. "You are the last person who should be questioning anyone. Had you not gone in on your own and informed the Uchiha Military Police, the actual authority in charge of questioning and interrogation, things could have gone differently. You and your group of anbu, not only charged ahead without any plan, but couldn't even capture two eight year olds and now you have the gall to blame others?"

"Mind your tong…"

"Or what!" Gorou Uchiha's Sharingan flared, the three magatama rotating wildly. "Hiruzen Sarutobi might have claimed responsibility for the whole incident by himself but do you think everyone here is an idiot? You three advisors think you can escape the responsibility so easily? Moreover, who do you think you are to have anbu following orders? You are not the hokage. You are not the interim hokage? Who even are you?"

"How dare you!" Danzo shouted but another voice interrupted him.

"While I wouldn't agree with the way it was voiced out, Uchiha-san's questions are not wrong." The Hyuga Clan head interjected. "An entire clan, the strongest clan in Konoha, the clan of Shodaime-sama and Nidaime-sama was reduced to a bunch of crippled old men not even a dozen strong. The biggest allies of the village were pushed to enmity and have become a danger to not only the village but the whole ninja world… do you truly think that putting the blame of the whole thing on Hiruzen Sarutobi's head will absolve you three advisors of your own crimes?"

"Exactly. Moreover, as Jiraiya said, he didn't know the boy was of Uzumaki origin. You say they escaped from a bunch of anbu and you… an elite jōnin and you only have these… corpses to show for. Have the Yamanaka examined the bodies? Did they discover any clues of the Uzumaki Clan?" The Aburame head asked calmly.

"We… the bodies are destroyed. Especially their brains, they have been targeted by wind style attacks. I doubt we can find any clues from these."

"In the heat of the battle, the blade doesn't see where it's hitting. Our main priority was to capture the Uzumaki. We couldn't hold back." Danzo replied, anger hidden in his voice but still backing down when faced with several other clan heads.

"Couldn't or didn't want to?" Gorou Uchiha commented snidely, narrowing his eyes. "The residual chakra left in the body and the body itself shows that they don't seem to have much strength. Not to mention, neither you nor any of your people seem to be that injured. This shows that they didn't have that much strength. You could have captured any one of them and we could have extracted more information. Instead all you brought are a bunch of corpses which conveniently had their brains destroyed… and you couldn't even capture the kid himself. Is it just me or does the whole situation sound too convenient?"

What came after that was a massive argument between the clan heads.

Some like the Shimura Clan as well as the heads of the advisors clans supported Danzo's actions while another group headed by the Uchiha blamed him.

Jiraiya's mind was blank in all of this.

He was still trying to process how things had come to this.

They were supposed to stay in Konoha for a few days and then he would have taken Yahiko and Nagato to leave and train them.

As the Child of Prophesy, he was supposed to bring peace to the ninja world… but this…

He felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked back to see Sakumo Hatake consoling him.

"Where… where is Tsunade? Why isn't she here?" He asked, lost.

Sakumo looked a bit hesitant but replied nonetheless. "Danzo didn't call the Senju Clan due to their connection with the Uzumaki. Some feared that due to the village's actions against their clan, they would seek revenge against the village and wanted to observe them for a while."

"That's… insane. Tsunade would never do such a thing."

"Her mental state wasn't good. She even attacked Hiruzen Sarutobi in front of everyone. Although not everyone wanted to, they still agreed that it would be for the best for her to take some rest." Sakumo replied awkwardly. It looked like he was also upset about the whole matter and didn't want to talk about it anymore than this.

Jiraiya didn't prod him either.

After all, he didn't want to say anything either. Right now… he wanted to go out and search for Yahiko and Nagato the first instance that he could.

The situation however prevented him from leaving.

After a long argument, the clans looked like they wanted to reign in some of the influence of the hokage and the advisors.

For this reason, until the new hokage was chosen, the advisors were suspended.

After the new hokage is chosen, they will be investigated and sentenced accordingly but it didn't seem like they would be escaping this unscathed without some kind of a miracle. Apart from this, another resolution was passed by the entire jōnin council that the powers of the hokage will be reduced and divided among the jōnin council from now on. It was because of sensei's actions that no clan or even some veteran jōnin were trusting of putting all their faith in one person anymore. Any major decision from now on will require the jōnin council's approval and they will also hold the power to impeach the hokage or overturn any of their decisions. And this was still the beginning.

It looked like the clans wanted to use this opportunity to pass several other laws which could give them an advantage in the future.

The Konoha village he had grown up in, the village which always seemed to be united… seems to be crumbling apart.

And the worst part was that there was nothing Jiraiya could do…

He remembered the words of a certain man at this point… Yoriichi Tsugikuni… He had felt extremely aggrieved at being challenged by that man. Back then he had been angry and even offended when he called ninjas mere mercenaries who would do anything for profits… and yet… here, that exact thing was happening.

Jiraiya hadn't felt this lost in a long time.

- Kazuya -

I stood in my ritual room once more.

A month had passed and I could use the summoning ritual at its full power once more.

Today however, I was planning to use some chakra from the tailed beast I had in my possession.

Last time I had just forcibly extracted the chakra from the jinchuriki from inside the Kohaku no Jōhei for the summoning but this time I wanted Gyuki's help directly.

Obviously, I doubt he would just chill out and listen to me talk, especially not after the way he was kidnapped.

So the first thing I did was have an entirely new ritual room prepared several miles outside the Capital City. It's surprising how fast construction of such places can be completed with Earth Style ninjutsu, something I had more than enough of , after having extracted the information from the dead bodies of the attacking Iwagakure ninja.

Even the normal chunin gave one or two decent jutsu or one type, let alone the members of the explosion squad and the commanders.

Right now, we have the second most Earth Style jutsu in the entire Elemental Nations… or who knows, maybe the most, after the massive destruction of Iwagakure.

Apart from this, we had also managed to extract the residual chakra from Four Tails from the left overs of Roshi's body and the atmosphere.

Since then, we had to keep the Tailed Beasts sealed because we didn't have anywhere to keep them and we still haven't been able to find the Uzumaki Clan.

They had kept to their word and not contacted us since that would have the danger of someone discovering the link between us and could potentially drag the entire Land of Flowers into hell.

Hiromi-san did however say that the main branch of the Uzumaki Clan would contact us after they are done settling in the other continent.

So, to house the Tailed Beasts, I ordered for this place to be made.

The entire underground ritual room was filled with seals of the Uzumaki Clan, boosting the defence of the place to a ridiculous degree, especially when there was someone providing chakra to the seals. For this part, the members of my team were ready to provide chakra to the seal to keep everything under control if things started going in the wrong direction. Apart from this, the entire place was shielded from any kind of chakra perception, warded so that no amount of noise goes out.

It was a shinobi world equivalent of a nuclear shelter.

When everything was done, I signalled everyone to power the barrier and released the Eight Tails from the Kohaku no Jōhei.

As soon as the process started, the entire place was filled with a malevolent energy like no other. Visible chakra flooded out of the Kohaku no Jōhei, filling the room with suffocating energies.

The chakra took the form of tentacles and tried to smack everything around it, almost as if a drowning man struggling to come out of the water. Thankfully, the barrier was strong enough to keep the energy contained.

A figure took form slowly in front of us.

Eight huge tentacles and a head like a bull.

The eight tails, Gyuki.

He let out a roar, trying to smash the barrier into pieces but the barrier held strong, redistricting his movement.

As the one closest to him, I could feel the amount of chakra he had. It wasn't near Kurama's level but damn… it was several dozens of times greater than my own.

I was pretty sure if I had faced him before meeting Kurama and Chomei and going through the previous battle… I would probably be trembling in His presence.

To think Hashirama Senju had more chakra than this beast…

Yeah… I still have a long long way to go.

Had I not known the true depth of this world, I might have gotten arrogant from Hiromi-san's praise or them comparing me to Hashirama but I knew… just what kind of monsters they were.

The Tailed Beasts… they were just pets to the likes of Madara and Hashirama. This… this enormous monster who could raze the entire Land of Flowers in a day… was just a pet. And even that power was nothing compared to Kaguya… that's the power I am chasing after.

Once again, resolving myself and reaffirming my goal, I decided to try to calm down the frenzied beast.

"Calm down, Gyuki!" I shouted but the guy was probably not hearing anything over his own roars.

This is not going to work. I signalled the group again and they tightened the seals again.

I took this chance to jump to the face of Gyuki.

Apparently, that wasn't the right thing to do.

"Get out, Human!" Gyuki roared.

"I will, if you calm down first." I shouted back.

"You will not be sealing me again. I will destroy you all." He roared.

"I am not going to seal you either way. Would you fucking calm down and listen to me first." I shouted once more.

Suddenly his eyes widened and he stopped… "You…. how do you know my name?"

Like seriously… you noticed that just now?

"Shukaku, Matatabi, Isobu, Son Goku, Kokuō, Saiken, Chomei, Gyuki and Kurama. I know all the names… will you please… just for one moment, calm down and listen to me first?" I asked again.

Gyuki reeled from the shock of having the names called out in front of him, and unconsciously quieted down, giving me time to tell my side of the story. I quickly told him everything I had told Kurama and Chomei.

I had to admit that once he got over the initial rage, Gyuki was quite reasonable. Although, just like Kurama, he did use ninshu to confirm my feelings.

"So, that's the case. We currently don't have any way to send you to Kurama and Chomei and I didn't want to keep you locked up. So, if you want, you can stay here. I doubt you will want to be locked inside someone until then and going out will just make people catch you once more. As strong as you are, you cannot contend with the power of an entire great ninja village by yourself. And they would come for you."

"Who else is in your possession?"

"I have Kokuō although I will be releasing him in a while. Please help me explain things to him. I think that apart from you four, only Shukaku is currently alive but he is sealed in a jinchuriki from Sunagakure. He is an old monk called Bunpaku." I explained everything to him.

"Before that… you said that you can summon Chomei. Can you do that here?" He asked.

"Eh…" I looked around the place. "I haven't tried to summon him yet but I guess that should be possible." Almost two months have passed and Chomei had told me that I only needed to wait one month before I could start summoning him. "I will try, but… well, could you please move away to the corner of the room. This place is quite small and it would be very cramped."

"Hmm." Gyuki moved to the side quite easily.

While I was preparing for the summoning, I remembered something. "Say, couldn't you all talk to each other inside your mindscape? I think I saw something about that in my visions too although I am not clear about the details. Why don't you try that?"

He frowned slightly but let out a sigh. "You know about that too… Your story is more believable now. That method of communication requires a special condition to be fulfilled for us. Each of us needs to give a part of our chakra to someone whose mind can then be used as a meeting place. It's an advanced use of ninshu and something that is only possible for us since we were originally one. The only person who has been able to do so until now is my father. If you saw someone in the future… then maybe his words did come true in the future." He said before letting out a sigh. "We cannot do that right now as no one has won our approval yet and don't have our chakra and thus… cannot host us in their mindscape."

"Oh… I see. Alright, I will try then." I bit off my thumb and quickly made the hand signs and slammed my hand on the floor. "Summoning Jutsu."

I immediately felt an enormous amount of chakra drain from my body. In fact, it almost drained sixty to seventy percent of my chakra, which was an extremely terrifying amount. Just how did this even work? I knew it depended on the power of the one being summoned as Tsunade couldn't summon the true body of the Slug Sage Katsuyu even with all her chakra.

Chomei is one of the strongest beings in this world, I can see why it would take more chakra. But what I was curious about was if the summoning also depended on the distance. After all, the three sage lands were still on this very continent, while Chomei was on another continent.

"Yipee! The lucky number seven is here!" He shouted and flew up… hitting his head on the ceiling of the place and shaking the entire place as a result.

Gyuki on the other hand was actually face… palming… tentacling… or whatever that was called.

"Oww… what is this place?" The seven tails exclaimed as he landed on the ground.,

"This is a base I made to hide the Tailed Beasts." I spoke, making him turn back and look at me.

Got to say, having faced Tailed Beasts a few times does make it easier to talk to one.

This was my first time seeing Chomei in his full body form.

Looks like the Uzumaki kept their side of the promise to Chomei

"Kazuya! Why did you summon me here? Is Gyuki troubling you? He might have more tails than me but I am the lucky number seven. I can take him on."

"No one is troubling anyone. During the last two months, I just happened to get his jinchuriki and unsealed him."

In fact, Blue B was still alive. His body was frozen in a near death state inside my Grimoire even now.

Jinchuriki had their chakra reserves increased due to being with Tailed Beasts for a long time. Blue B, even without Gyuki, could use his chakra and was a kage leve shinobi. I couldn't waste such a person so easily.

The next part was fairly easy. With Chomei explaining things to Gyuki, he was finally convinced. Chomei left then but not before I sent a message for the Uzumaki Clan.

We decided to exchange information through summoning jutsu from now on.

Kokuō was quite easy to convince too.

They decided to remain in the underground base. According to them, being sealed was similar but they liked this place much better.

I didn't deny it.

Gyuki actually decided to sign a contract with me similar to Chomei but Kokuō decided to remain unbound. According to him, he wanted to observe me more before he decides further. That said, he did offer to help if I needed any.

And that's how we came to the second part of the day.

With a simple action of bumping fists, Gyuki offered me five times my own chakra without any problems.

It also made me understand how different the Tailed Beast chakra was when the Tailed Beast offered it willingly.

The chakra was no longer harmful, needing me to control it with my willpower but rather more like my own chakra, easily mouldable.

With this much chakra, I had a feeling that I wouldn't even need to open the Sixth Inner Gate to use that mountain splitting attack I had pulled in the last war.

And I knew exactly where to use this chakra.

The ritual for summoning was already prepared although I wasn't summoning any people today.

I needed something to increase my power before using the world travel function.

For today's ritual I used Kuina's hair as a catalyst again, hoping to summon something from the One Piece World.

The circle lit up once more, this time the light was almost blinding.

When the light dispersed, my eyes widened.

Is that…

I quickly walked forward and picked up the object in the middle of the summoning circle.

A fruit with spiral patterns.

I quickly stored it in my Grimoire and checked the information of the fruit.

My eyes widened as I read what fruit it was… and I couldn't help but laugh wildly.
