Chapter 735 - Chapter 734: I Like Playing with M1nors

Sensing something off, Firefly began to think seriously.

Based on what she had seen of Pei Guang's behavior since meeting him, she felt that Sparkle's identity wasn't quite right.

But just as she was thinking, Pei Guang walked up to her, patted her shoulder, and said: "What are you thinking about? Time to head out~"

Firefly: "Mm, but… do we really have to fight? I…"

Pei Guang: "Of course! But don't worry, you won't need to fight yourselves. Stelle already confirmed the enemy's strength, and I've got a backup plan here. If things get dangerous, we can run~"

Firefly: "Then… alright. Actually, if it's just a normal fight, I could still…"

Before Firefly could finish, Sparkle cut in: "Fight? You mean a brawl? Can I join?"

Pei Guang: "Hm? Sure. But I've got a question—are you an adult?"

At his question, Sparkle replied a little coyly: "Mm, not telling you~"

Pei Guang: "Got it, underage."

Sparkle: "?"

Sparkle had wanted to play coy and keep her age mysterious, but somehow just acting shy for a moment had made Pei Guang decide she was underage?

Already suspicious of Sparkle, Firefly seized the chance: "Since she didn't deny it, that means she is~ But in that case, is it okay?"

Pei Guang nodded: "No problem. I like playing with m1nors~"

The moment those words came out, Firefly's eyes widened.

He liked underage girls? Was Pei Guang a pervert?

No, that wasn't it. She quickly sensed something odd about his words.

From the moment she met him, Pei Guang's speech had been full of strange quirks. Thinking carefully, she realized he always told the truth: but his "truth" was almost always a literal statement about something specific.

So when Pei Guang said, "I like playing with m1nors," the key word was "playing."

With that in mind, and looking at the context, Firefly suddenly guessed at something.

But Pei Guang's next words interrupted her train of thought.

"Don't worry, I'm a proper guy, not a pervert~"

Hearing this, Sparkle spoke softly: "I believe you~ Because you're a good person~."

As the saying goes, onlookers see clearly, but those involved are confused. Sparkle, who had been on the receiving end of Pei Guang's attention, had spent little actual time with him—most of what she knew came from hearsay or watching parts of his streams.

To her, this line sounded like Pei Guang had some kind of special hobby, and her current appearance perfectly fit that hobby.

That thought instantly made Sparkle happy.

Watching Sparkle's joy, Pei Guang's face broke into an even creepier smile. Firefly grew serious at the sight of that perverse grin, while Sparkle looked nervous.

If Stelle and March had been here, they would have cried out in alarm at once.

Because when Pei Guang showed that creepy look, it always meant he was planning to trick someone. And Pei Guang's habit had even rubbed off on Stelle, which meant that once Stelle started looking creepy, someone—or often a lot of people—was about to have a very bad day.

Pei Guang looked at Sparkle with excitement: "Don't worry. If you can't fight, I'll just put you somewhere safe. I've got plenty of experience protecting minors. Let's go! We're heading to the border to farm monsters for coins."

Firefly raised her hand: "Since we're going to the border… I actually know a path…"

Pei Guang waved his hand: "No need. You were going to say you've got a secret passage that leads where we want to go, right?"

Firefly nodded: "That's right! And also…"

Just as she was about to continue, she saw Sparkle watching eagerly from the side. The moment she saw her, Firefly decided to swallow her words.

She had originally wanted to take Pei Guang to a very beautiful spot: a place with hardly any people, one she really loved. It was her secret hideout.

Since Pei Guang was willing to take her along, she had been ready to share her favorite place with him.

But now that Sparkle was here as a third wheel, she no longer wanted to go—not because she didn't want Pei Guang to see it, but because she didn't want Sparkle to.

Sparkle clearly had problems, and taking someone like that there would only sour her mood.

Of course, whether she had other thoughts, only Firefly herself knew.

Seeing Firefly hesitate, Pei Guang patted her shoulder again: "Relax~ we're not taking your secret passage this time. Hm~ it's not that I dislike your passage, but if we really went that way, it'd definitely be crawling with enemies, right?"

If Firefly had just said she knew a path, Pei Guang might have followed. But the moment she said "secret passage," he refused.

Right now, Pei Guang was imagining all kinds of awful scenarios, like some ancestral tomb passageway full of traps, designed so every trip through claimed a few lives. Or worse, a "secret passage" that literally anyone could walk through.

Firefly: "Then… how do we get there? Do we… get hit by a car again?"

Remembering how Stelle had once gotten sent to the border by being hit by a car, Sparkle had the urge to complain, but the words stuck in her throat.

Pei Guang: "No need for all that trouble—we can just walk straight there."

Sparkle: "Walk straight? But there are so, so many buildings here~"

Pei Guang raised his finger and shook it: "No no no~ these aren't lots of buildings, they're lots of tunnels~ Come on! I'll take you both quickly to the border."

Both Firefly and Sparkle were curious what method he would use. Pei Guang then revealed his plan.

From the moment he arrived in this dream, Pei Guang had a lot of bold ideas: he'd just never had the chance to try them. Now the opportunity had come, and he was going to enjoy himself.

His plan was simple. First, he drew out his weapon and began digging into the ground and buildings of Penacony.

In Penacony, no matter what was destroyed, buildings or otherwise, everything would eventually return to normal after a while.

So Pei Guang simply used his wooden sword to dig chunks out of the architecture, and before long he had excavated over a hundred cubic meters of standard-sized building material.

With those materials in hand, Pei Guang began his plan. Mimicking the actions of the MC block-shaped figures, he placed a cube beside a building, and the block stuck firmly to it.

Then Pei Guang dug out the building next to the block, leaving the cube floating in midair. What happened next made not just Firefly and Sparkle, but even any Dreamweavers watching, feel their heads buzz—the block was floating.

The floating cube seemed to have invisible support. Pei Guang climbed on top, jumping and moving around without any problem.

At that moment, a satisfied smile spread across Pei Guang's face: "Mm~ I knew it. If we can clip through fragile buildings, why not floating ones? Turns out this feature was waiting in the dream world!"

From the start, Pei Guang had tried to see if floating blocks were possible here. As a classic mechanic in sandbox games, he was surprised at first that it didn't seem to work.

But since "glitches exist," he figured it was either not yet unlocked or only usable in special maps.

Now in the dream, he had planned to try again. Until now, he never had the chance, but when he finally tried… success.
