"Crystal Style: Crystal Armour!"
Guren took a step back and braced herself, arms crossing in front of her as a pink sheen spread across her body, while Kabuto dived for cover behind her. And a split second later…
BANG!
No longer able to resist the pressure building from within, the block of crystal encasing Sakura shattered. Her breasts burst free with a vengeance, sending a volley of shards whizzing in every direction. Guren grunted as the crystal bullets struck her— one even grazing her cheek and drawing a line of blood— while the rest embedded themselves in the walls, the floor, and the ceiling.
"Now, it's my turn!" snarled Sakura, raising her right foot in the air. "Chakra Enhanced Strength!"
"Wait! We're underground, you idiot!" shouted Kabuto in alarm. "You'll bring the entire base down on our heads—!"
BOOM!
Sakura brought her foot down hard, striking the ground with such force that it carved a deep depression into the stone floor, the edges of the crater rippling outwards like the surface of a lake struck by a tossed stone. Tiles burst upwards in a circle around her, pelting Kabuto and Guren, hurling them off their feet and slamming them into the wall behind.
"Eh?"
Fissures spiderwebbed across the crater beneath Sakura, and before she could react, the ground gave way, sending her tumbling onto something soft— yet strangely firm— below.
…
Meanwhile, Kabuto and Guren remained on the floor above, scrambling to keep the underground base from collapsing about their ears.
"Guren!" said Kabuto urgently.
"I know!" hissed Guren, rapidly weaving hand signs. "Jade Crystal Hexagonal Columns!"
Showers of rubble and dust rained down upon their heads as the crumbling walls and ceiling began to cave inwards, but Guren clapped her hands. Pink crystal pillars burst from the ground around her, propping up the ceiling just in time before they were crushed to death.
…
Sakura opened her eyes to semi-darkness, the only light a faint column streaming down from the hole she'd made in the ceiling. She reached out blindly, her fingers brushing against a hard object marked by ridges that felt unmistakeably like… ribs. Also, one— no, two… nubs?
And then the object she was feeling up opened its eyes, like two crimson moons in a night sky devoid of stars.
Suddenly, two fingers shot out of the darkness, aimed straight for Sakura's eyes, but her reflexes snapped into action just in time, and the fingers ended their flight painfully against Sakura's hard and wide forehead.
"Uchiha!?" hissed Uchiha Nanashi in anger, recognising Sakura's Sharingan. "I'll kill you!"
Nanashi kneed Sakura in the stomach and kicked her off, sending her rolling from her bed.
"Oof!"
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"
Nanashi breathed in deeply and breathed out a stream of flames at Sakura, the fierce glare of the flames temporarily blinding them both, their eyes having grown accustomed to the darkness.
"Rotation!"
Sakura spun a defensive bubble of chakra just in time, turning Nanashi's flamethrower attack into a flaming tornado that quickly petered out, leaving the stone walls and floor glowing a fierce, incandescent red… and the dresser and a collection of cute stuffed animals engulfed in flames.
"Are you crazy?" coughed Sakura, waving away the black cloud of smoke wafting around her. "Everyone knows you don't use Fire Style underground! At this rate, we're going to run out of air!"
"That voice…" said Nanashi, squinting at Sakura's blurry figure through the smoke. "Don't I know you from somewhere, talking pinkish blob…? Lord Orochimaru's precious research subject…"
Sakura knew that look— it was the look of a child in need of glasses. Hundreds of years after her birth, Nanashi's eyes had nearly lost their light, a mere two years after Orochimaru unsealed her from the Senju burial site.
"Half as long, eh?" said Sakura. "But twice as bright."
Like a brilliant shooting star streaking through the night sky, Nanashi's fate had always been to live an ephemeral life as a human weapon, burning up all her potential in the span of an instant for the sake of her master. Without an infusion of yang chakra (read: Hashirama cells), her sight would never return!
"Is Sakura with you, Nanashi?" Kabuto's muffled voice echoed from above. "Hang on, we're coming down!"
Even with the visual acuity of a naked mole rat, Nanashi remained a Kage-level threat, as a wielder of the legendary Mangekyō Sharingan. Add elite Jōnin-level Kabuto and Kage-level Guren to the mix, and even Sakura wouldn't wager on her chances of getting out in one piece.
The mission had failed, and it was time to retreat!
"Wood Style: Nativity of a Sea of Trees!"
Fingers interlocked in the seal of the snake, Sakura channelled her chakra into the ground beneath her. It was like she was watching a timelapse of a forest: a great tree surged upwards, roots snaking through the earth and buckling the floor tiles, while the trunk stretched skywards, lifting a surprised Nanashi and her bed through the hole in the ceiling on a bed of leaves, stranding her on the upper floor with Guren and Kabuto.
Sakura wasted no time kicking down Nanashi's bedroom door and fleeing into the dimly lit corridor. That tree wouldn't block the hole for too long!
"Crystal Style: Burst Crystal Falling Dragon!"
The newly grown tree instantly crystallised and shattered, allowing Nanashi, Guren and Kabuto to drop through the hole onto a soft bed of pink sand quartz. With a wave of her hand, the fine crystal shards reassembled into a thorny flood dragon, which tore after Sakura, leaving a gaping hole where the door used to be.
"Persistent lot, aren't you?" Sakura muttered to herself as she ran, ignoring the painful bounce of her sore and abused breasts as she weaved her hand signs. Her bra was six times too small, stretched thin into a narrow band of cloth, digging painfully into her ample bust and offering next to no support.
Sakura slotted a thin senbon needle between her fore- and index fingers, then skidded to a halt and made an about-turn, aiming carefully at the twisting crystal dragon hurtling down the hall, its yawning maw opening wide as if to devour her whole.
"Lightning Style: Lorentz Gun Jutsu!"
The short needle seemed to lengthen instantly into a spear of light, piercing the crystal flood dragon and skewering it along its length, causing it to explode in a shower of pink shards.
…
Despite its comparatively modest power, Sakura's adaptation of Orochimaru's original Jutsu still packed quite a punch!
To reduce the number of hand signs and the chakra required, this version employed senbon rather than kunai, sacrificing mass to maintain acceleration, resulting in lower total damage. The speed sadly could not be increased by overcharging it with more chakra, as doing so would cause the steel needle to melt mid-flight and fall short of its target.
(Also, the recoil of launching a small, light needle is much easier on Sakura's arms and shoulders, as for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, conservation of momentum, etc., etc., you know the drill by now.)
…
Without pausing to see if her attack had yielded any results beyond the crystal dragon's destruction, Sakura summoned a cluster of caltrop-style shuriken from a sealing scroll and scattered them across the floor behind her as she fled. Then, at the next intersection, she chose a corridor at random and dashed down the opposite one!
