Chapter 7 - The forgotten past

The smell of the wind that brings memories back to life. The tree that provides shade under the sunlight for the Beunabista family. A memory that lingers in the wind. The lone tree on the vast land of grass and flowers. Two years have passed; leaves have fallen and dried up. The one that brings joy has been long gone. Promises have been forgotten; love and loyalty have changed.

Time may change—Kelly's love for her family will never change. She will cherish every moment she shared with her siblings. Every laughter and pain she shared with them will be a life lesson she will carry for the rest of her life.

Each day, she always longs for the past that can never change. She longs for the days her siblings are by her side. A mother that will make her smile and a father that taught her to stand on her own. The people of her hometown, Lagarte, always make her feel at peace. A home that will forever be in her heart.

The world is cruel; time will pass by—today will be history, and tomorrow will be part of your memory. Change can be disappointing—but if the tree dies, bees and butterflies are nowhere to be found. Change can be a good thing—be a gardener of the new land that you're going to create. Let go of the past, change what you can, and live your life.
