Thomas had always been planning from behind the scenes. He had given Laura ways she would have used to bring Rachel down.
But she was careless. All she ever wanted or even did was to be impulsive. She never seemed to plan things ahead or know when to act and then she went ahead to get herself caught.
For a while Thomas had flee the city, thinking Laura would rat him out and mixed him with the whole saga. But he was surprised to hear she didn't and then he returned back to the city.
He now has a plan set in motion, one that would see him take what's rightfully his.
And one that saw him standing in the midst of pointed guns.
"You have five seconds to proof yourselves," the leader with the scar repeated himself. slightly raising his gun.
Thomas didn't move. He reached into the bag he had and slowly took out a thick bag made of canvas. He dropped it on the table with a loud noise, then opened it. The smell of new money filled the air, stacks and stacks reflecting the dim light.
