Leaf Village.
Kabuto Yakushi was walking down the street when a passerby brushed past him and whispered a secret code.
Kabuto stopped and went to a secluded place. A moment later, a man emerged from the shadows. He had white hair, blue eyes, a handsome face, and a slender build.
It was the first time Kabuto had seen this man, but he felt a strange sense of familiarity. Suddenly, he realized who it was and exclaimed in surprise, "You're Tōshirō-sama?"
Tōshirō replied, "I'm not bad in my adult form, am I?"
Kabuto agreed without asking further questions.
Tōshirō got straight to the point. "I didn't call you here for anything else. I want to get some information from you."
"Information?" Kabuto replied politely. "Please, just say it. If I know, I will tell you everything."
Tōshirō directly asked for information about Raiga Kurosuki.
Kabuto was a little confused as to why Tōshirō would suddenly want information on this person, but he didn't ask. As a qualified subordinate, he knew what to ask and what not to ask.
"I do have it, but it's not on me. You might need to trouble yourself and come back to my house with me."
"Okay."
At the mansion, Tōshirō looked through a book of files, using the index to find the information on the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.
Tōshirō carefully read through the information, recorded the details on Raiga Kurosuki, and then closed the book and handed it back to Kabuto. "Alright, I have all the information I need."
Kabuto took it with both hands and asked respectfully, "Is there anything else you need?"
"No."
"That's good then."
Tōshirō commented, "You're very good."
Kabuto replied humbly, "You're too kind."
Tōshirō smiled. "Keep up the good work. I have high hopes for you."
For someone who had lost his sense of self, what he needed most was recognition. A single word of affirmation could make them go to great lengths, even making them believe that their sole purpose in life was to serve that person.
Orochimaru used this principle to make one person after another willingly give him everything. Now, Tōshirō was also using this approach.
Kabuto looked at Tōshirō. "I will."
Tōshirō nodded, made a hand seal, and transformed into a cloud of white smoke that dissipated with the wind. The person disappeared without a trace.
From beginning to end, the Tōshirō who spoke with Kabuto was a shadow clone.
Meanwhile, after learning the information about Raiga Kurosuki, Tōshirō immediately transformed into the villain's appearance. Holding a transformed ninja sword, he rushed into a wealthy house he had chosen beforehand and got to work.
At the luxurious mansion, the wealthy, pot-bellied man saw a man with a double-edged sword rush into his yard, injuring countless bodyguards. His legs went weak. "Who are you?"
Tōshirō said in a deep voice, "Raiga Kurosuki."
The rich man silently memorized the name, planning to get revenge later.
"Stop with the nonsense. Hand over all your valuables."
The rich man was speechless.
At the same time, Tōshirō swaggered down the street.
He had left two shadow clones in the village. This was the second shadow clone, operating on two fronts: one to confuse Obito, who was hiding in the dark, and the other to understand the current situation in the village.
Since the Uchiha were disbanded from the Leaf Village's police force, a new group of people was managing it.
As expected, the vendor who should have been arguing with an Uchiha was now arguing with a Leaf Village ninja. Since it was the first time they had done this, it was inevitable that inappropriate things happened during the enforcement process.
At this moment, a vendor was having a heated exchange with a member of the Leaf Village police force. The crowd, enjoying the drama, formed a circle to watch.
The Uchiha law enforcement officer, who used to be part of the Leaf Village police force, was also present, secretly laughing to himself.
I can't believe this is happening to you now.
One of the onlookers recognized the Uchiha officer as a former member of the Leaf Village police force and advised, "Aren't you going to do something about it?"
The Uchiha officer laughed, looking at the onlooker as if he were an idiot.
He doesn't even do this stuff anymore. What's the point of him getting involved?
The officer looked confused. "Why should I?"
"Aren't you a member of the Leaf Village police force?"
"That was in the past."
The onlooker felt that this made sense but didn't want to admit it. He argued, "But even so, shouldn't you have an obligation to manage these things?"
"Obligation? What obligation?"
"It's just…"
"Hey, don't get it wrong. Even if it's an obligation, it's a thing of the past. You guys used to always say our enforcement was too strict. Why are you not saying it now? Besides, I don't want to be charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer later."
The officer interrupted with a sneer, "Why should I do this thankless job for you when you don't even pay me?"
In Tōshirō-sama's words, you can't eat obligations for dinner.
The onlookers were speechless.
Seeing this, the officer felt a great sense of satisfaction. In the past, he couldn't speak freely due to his position, but now that he no longer had the uniform, he had no such worries.
Tōshirō walked over and asked on purpose, "Officer, why is it so noisy?"
When the man called him, the officer looked over. He saw an unfamiliar face but felt like he had seen it somewhere before. He asked tentatively, "You are…"
"Tōshirō."
The officer laughed and glared at him in a threatening way. "Kid, do you think this is a good joke? You dare impersonate Tōshirō-sama. Believe it or not, I'll teach you a good lesson."
Tōshirō said nothing and activated his Sharingan.
The officer was stunned. He was frozen.
It's really him.
Other things could be faked, but the Sharingan couldn't. Now that he thought about it, the person's face did look like an adult version of Tōshirō.
"No, no, Tōshirō-sama, why did you suddenly get so big?" The officer was completely baffled.
Tōshirō said flatly, "That was a side effect of the jutsu in the past. Now I have overcome it, so the side effect is naturally gone."
The officer suddenly understood. He secretly sized up the "plus-sized" Tōshirō. He was still a bit unaccustomed to him suddenly becoming an adult.
However, the adult version did look better than the child version. After all, Tōshirō was now the face of the Uchiha clan, and looking like a child always felt a bit strange…
Tōshirō shook his head. "Forget about me, what's going on here?"
The officer briefly explained the situation.
Tōshirō roughly understood. "Forget it, just help them out. After all, we're all from the same village."
Tōshirō had his reasons for asking him to do it. The officer didn't ask further questions and gave Tōshirō a dramatic build-up. "Alright, since Tōshirō-sama said so, I won't be afraid to trouble myself and take care of it."
After that, he skillfully stepped forward and handled the matter.
In an instant, it became clear to the crowd who was the better officer.
In addition, the contrast created by the officer's previous actions left a deep impression on everyone.
An onlooker immediately said, "Officer, why don't you go back and be a member of the Leaf Village police force?"
The officer waved his hand. "No, no."
His main goal was to make everyone beg him to be part of the Leaf Village police force, but he would refuse.
Only when these people realized what the village's public safety would be like without the Uchiha would they remember the good things about the Uchiha of the past.
The officer ignored the villagers' pleas and asked, "Tōshirō-sama, where are you going now?"
Tōshirō smiled. "Where else? I'm just going to walk around the village."
The officer replied, "Everyone must be very excited to see you like this now."
After that, Tōshirō walked around the clan, visiting relatives and friends. Everyone was shocked to see him in this form.
Fugaku exclaimed, "Seeing you like this, it feels like we've gone back in time."
Mikoto also smiled and said, "I'm more used to seeing Tōshirō brother like this."
Tōshirō chatted with the couple for a while. Unconsciously, the topic of Sasuke came up. "Where is he?"
Fugaku replied, "He's training with Itachi at the training ground."
"Then I'll go over there and see the results of his training."
Hearing that Itachi was also there, Tōshirō decided to use the excuse of visiting his apprentice to have a private talk with him.
Tōshirō set off and found the two brothers training.
Itachi and Sasuke were shocked to see Tōshirō. It was quite a shock for them, especially Sasuke, to see him turn from a child into an adult.
"Enough about me." Tōshirō changed the subject and asked about Sasuke's recent training progress.
Sasuke immediately performed a demonstration for Tōshirō.
After watching, Tōshirō praised him. "Not bad."
Sasuke smiled proudly.
Tōshirō took the opportunity to spar with Itachi under the pretense of training and had Sasuke watch with his Sharingan activated.
After a simple spar, Tōshirō told Sasuke to continue his training and to think about what he had learned.
He then took the opportunity to stand side-by-side with Itachi at a distance where Sasuke, who was focused on his training, shouldn't be able to hear them.
Tōshirō found a topic to start the conversation. "Sasuke is so talented."
Itachi also admitted this. "Sasuke is indeed very talented as a ninja."
Tōshirō looked up at the sky as a bird flew by. "Fugaku is so lucky to have two geniuses. Especially..."
He paused, and his voice became low, and his tone became meaningful. "Especially you, Itachi."
Itachi keenly sensed something and followed up. "That's nothing special."
Tōshirō shook his head. "To be honest, when I was your age, I wasn't as good as you."
"Tōshirō-sama, you flatter me."
"I'm not lying. After all, at your age, I hadn't… awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan."
The peaceful expression on Itachi's face wavered, and his pupils dilated.
Having a hold on the other person, Tōshirō smiled faintly. "Let's have a good talk here tonight."
Itachi was silent, but he nodded.
Time flew by, and it was night.
Tōshirō stood there, quietly looking at the bright moon hanging in the night sky.
Soon, a figure arrived as promised. Tōshirō didn't need to turn around to know that it was Itachi.
"How did you know?"
From the moment Tōshirō said those words, Itachi knew that it was pointless to argue.
Tōshirō stood with his back to Itachi, with his hands clasped behind him. He said flatly, "It's simple. You're too strong. Especially at your age."
Itachi didn't quite understand. "Just based on that?"
Tōshirō sighed. "That's enough."
Itachi frowned, even more confused.
"As someone who has the Mangekyo Sharing
an, I know very well what awakening it entails."
Itachi realized something. "So, you were deliberately testing my strength when we sparred?"
"Something like that."
What a terrifying person. He was able to deduce that I had awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan with so little information… Itachi looked at Tōshirō's back with a solemn and wary expression. "You didn't just ask me to come here to talk about this, did you?"
Tōshirō hummed. "I do have something I want to talk to you about."
"What is it?"
"Let's talk about Shisui Uchiha."
Tōshirō turned around, looking with interest at the wide-eyed, surprised Itachi.
