"That many?" Tang Fei asked, her business mind engaging despite the emotional whirlwind.
"There's genuine talent out there," Huo Wu confirmed, "More than anticipated. The judges are recommending we expand the initial training program."
"Then we expand it," Huo Ting Cheng said decisively. "Tang Fei wanted to give opportunities. We'll give them."
Tang Fei smiled, something warm blooming in her chest. "Thank you."
"Stop thanking me," he murmured, pulling her close again. "This is what partners do."
And there, in the quiet of the office, with the city lights glittering beyond the windows and the internet still reeling from what they'd witnessed, Tang Fei let herself believe it.
That this was real.
