Rita recalled B80 once saying that the Divine Game was a playground for gods.
She had believed that too. She had been angry, resentful, and had even argued with Foolishness over it.
Now she was no longer so certain, but she did not ask B80 again.
What B80 knew was not necessarily the truth. Or perhaps it was the truth as B80 saw it, a reality deliberately shown by the gods to all beings and existences, a misunderstanding the gods never bothered to correct.
Wait a little longer.
Rita closed her eyes and took a deep breath, telling herself to be patient a bit longer.
The Shrine Quiz from the previous game proved that the gods did not intend to keep them in the dark forever. The time simply had not come. Knowing too much right now would mean nothing.
She looked at the jar of soul flame.
Before, the soul flame had helped suppress the surging emotions within her. Then it suddenly stopped doing so. After that, the accumulation speed of those Brilliance fragments only grew faster.
