Chapter 425 - Chapter 423 : Hideki Moku!!

"What happened to Konohamaru?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi's face instantly hardened with a cold glare as he saw Konohamaru in his current state.

This was his grandson!

Yet here he was, treated so cruelly in Konoha, his arm twisted—who... who did this?

As he finished speaking, the veins on his forehead bulged, chakra surging within him.

The curtains and pages in the room fluttered with the chakra radiating from him, creating an intense atmosphere.

Everyone in the office's expression changed instantly, growing silent and tense.

"Speak quickly! How did Konohamaru get hurt like this?"

Asuma Sarutobi was discussing Genya's mission with his father.

He never expected that the disabled Konohamaru would be brought in like this!

"It was Uchiha Genya. Uchiha Genya injured Lord Konohamaru!" The servant spoke with sorrow.

"Uchiha Genya?" Hiruzen clenched his teeth as he spoke, his eyes turning bloodshot.

"Why would he attack Konohamaru?"

Konohamaru hadn't provoked him. Why?

Hiruzen's anger was overwhelming. Yet he had almost forgotten the time he ordered the massacre of the Uchiha clan.

The Uchiha deaths were not just relatives—several families were wiped out entirely.

Now, Konohamaru's arm was broken, and Hiruzen was this furious—how much angrier would he be if his own clan had been killed?

It was ironic—"Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself."

But Hiruzen had already committed too many sins over the years; it was time to pay the price.

What about those who were used as test subjects in experiments? Whose children were they? Whose grandchildren?

"Grandpa."

Konohamaru slowly woke up.

He wanted to move but felt the pain in his arm, tears immediately streaming down his face.

"Grandpa, I was bullied. You must avenge me!"

He began to cry loudly, wailing uncontrollably.

"Father, we have to get an explanation from the Uchiha clan!"

Asuma looked at Konohamaru's suffering and could no longer hold back his rage.

He was ready to gather people and confront the Uchiha clan.

Konohamaru was his nephew.

If Genya dared to harm Konohamaru, it was a crime—an insult to the Sarutobi clan.

"Come back." Hiruzen Sarutobi called out to Asuma. "When will you finally learn to control your temper?"

"Father, Konohamaru was seriously injured by Uchiha Genya. Are you still going to hold back?" Asuma's eyes were filled with anger.

"Grandpa, you have to avenge me. I want the one who hurt me to lose all four limbs!" Konohamaru cried out. "I want to make him suffer!"

There was nothing but hatred in Konohamaru's eyes as he spoke.

The Sarutobi clan and the Uchiha clan were already at odds, and Genya was not like Naruto, the Jinchuriki, who needed Hiruzen's support.

So, right now, Konohamaru held nothing but hatred for Uchiha Genya.

Genya deserved to die.

"This matter is partly Konohamaru's fault too. If we dig too deep, we won't gain anything." Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned and said, "For now, don't pursue it."

"Are we just going to let it go like this? Won't Uchiha Genya be punished?" Asuma protested.

"Have you forgotten the escort mission?" Hiruzen's eyes turned cold and sharp. "This time when they leave, Genya won't have the chance to come back."

"I will send people to watch their path. If they're lucky enough to return, I will kill him!"

Hiruzen's expression grew colder by the second.

"If the Uchiha clan fails to control Uchiha Genya, they will be punished as well." Asuma's voice was urgent, the fire inside him hard to contain.

"Be patient. This hidden danger from the Uchiha clan will be wiped out sooner or later!" Hiruzen's eyes narrowed, but in his mind, he was already thinking of seeking out Uchiha Itachi again.

He could no longer tolerate the Uchiha clan acting recklessly right before his eyes. They must be eliminated!

"Grandpa... aren't you going to stand up for your grandson?" Konohamaru looked up at Hiruzen with hopeful eyes.

"My dear grandson, don't worry. This is only temporary." Hiruzen looked gently at Konohamaru and comforted him softly.

"Rest assured, I will avenge you one day. For now, you need to focus on healing."

"Father, I'm not willing to accept this!" Asuma Sarutobi looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi. "I just can't accept it..."

"Go carry out the mission," Hiruzen said calmly. "There's a village that seems to have connections with a cult. Investigate thoroughly. If necessary, eliminate those cult members."

"I understand..." Asuma took the mission orders, a relaxed expression crossing his face as he lit a cigarette.

Sometimes, killing can relieve the tension in one's heart.

Uchiha Clan.

Genya closed his eyes and trained as dusk approached.

Uchiha Shin walked in and said, "We found something!"

Genya opened his eyes and asked, "What's Hideki Moku's identity?"

"Hideki Moku is a ninja from the Land of Lightning. He's here to gather intelligence on Konoha. We haven't found out if he has other missions yet," Shin answered seriously.

"But that old man has at least the strength of a Jonin, and Hiruzen Sarutobi knows Hideki Moku's identity and strength well."

"Heh... as expected, Hiruzen is trying to set a trap for me — using others to do his dirty work," Genya said with a smirk.

If they — himself, Hinata Hyuga, and Shino Aburame — were really killed by ninjas from the Land of Lightning, the other two might not know, but his father would definitely lead the Uchiha clan to take revenge.

Hiruzen wanted to weaken the Uchiha clan using this method.

"Genya-kun, should we just expose their plot and not go at all?" Shin guessed Hiruzen's scheme and asked Genya's opinion.

"Go. Why wouldn't I?" Genya smiled playfully. "Besides, I want to see what kind of ninja the Land of Lightning really has."

"Besides, now's not the time to reveal Hiruzen's true face. After Orochimaru arrives, during the Chunin exams, I'll expose Hiruzen's hypocrisy in front of everyone."

"Should I send some people to follow you?" Shin asked again.

Genya glanced at him. "Uncle Shin, are you asking them to protect me, or am I protecting them?"

Uchiha Shin was speechless.

Indeed, in the ninja world, those who could harm Genya were nearly extinct. Even if such people existed, they were beyond what they could handle.

In the end, Shin chose to remain silent.

Genya broke the silence.

"Uncle Shin, if you find out that the Sarutobi clan wants to make a move against the Uchiha clan, send someone to the outside experimental base to notify them. With those people there, the Uchiha clan will be safe."

The next day at noon, Genya led the way, accompanied by Hinata and Shino Aburame. Behind them followed Kurenai Yuhi.

For the past few days, Kurenai had been fulfilling her role as a teacher, refraining from intervening unless absolutely necessary.

Of course, with Genya present, there was little need for her to act.

At the village entrance stood an elderly man dressed in a kimono. His hair was gray and tied neatly into a bun, giving him an air of vitality.

His sharp, bright eyes scanned everything in Konoha with careful attention.

Genya stepped forward and looked at the old man.

"Are you Hideki Moku? Are you heading to the Land of Lightning?"
